What we are forgetting…

....in all the current (and past) hub-bub about UFOs (flying saucers, UAP, AAVs, et al.) is that there is a reality behind the enigmatic phenomenon.

UFOs are a symptom, a symptom of reality.

 But UFOers are not looking to explain or understand the “disease” (reality), but is looking astray at the symptom (UFOs).

This goes to my continuing angst with those who keep inserting philosophy’s “tenets” in the pursuit of a UFO explanation or rational. Philosophy fell away from the discussion or examination of reality shortly after the sidetracks of Aristotle, who pulled away from earlier Greek philosophical meanderings of his predecessors and even his mentor, Plato.

Philosophy is belogged today, just as it was during the so-called Enlightenment, with problems of a very human kind: ethics, morality, pain, pleasure, goodness, evil, and other human plights or reasoning.

Philosophy doesn’t deal with other realities, zeroing in on human realities and the vicissitudes of society; the paranormal or external real reality barely gets a snub, just a total indifference, all that the fault of Immanuel Kant, whose thinking has corrupted the minds of thinkers ever since his idolatry in academic circles then and still.

We can’t get back to the search for the fount of UFOs. UFOers are too far off-track nowadays, pursuing lights, UAP, alleged government of some UFO truth, and other attendant foolishness.

Instead of searching for or discussing the reality from whence UFOs come, UFOers are succumbed by minor insanities (their daily habits and foolhardy activities), not what may be the source of the mystery the pretend to be examining.

What a UFO is has taken shape pretty much – after all the phenomenon has been around a while now.

 But from where it derives – even if it turns out to be an extraterrestrial source, as errant as that may be – is what we should be seeking to discover: the reality that created or caused UFOs to show up in our “normal” reality, and why.

So, let’s get back to the real search: the reality that produces UFOs. And let us shrug off the nonsense of UFOers who keep inserting philosophical bromides in our way or the folly of conspiracy theories and anything else that pushed the phenomenon into a corner of study where only madness lies.
