There are agencies within the U.S. government that have held this death-grip on the secret for a long time. They work in the dark away from public scrutiny. Elizondo mentioned the name of one but I can't recall its name. Their existence must also be known to Congress, yet none of its members have been called before any legislative committee (and compelled) to testify. You have to wonder why.
There are so many nooks and crannies within government and the military that one with specific info we might find interesting can remain hidden.
I once did a scrutiny of the manning table of the U.S. Navy (and CIA) only to find so many sub-groups that no one heard of or knew about, that getting material about (or from) them would be very difficult or impossible.
The "secrets" are well ensconced by manipulation and subterfuge, and bureaucracy.
