The Doty Dilemma

Dominick and Daniel, both long-timers here, are anx- ious to get some kind of certification of government lackey Richard Doty, who claims extra-ordinary insight and information about UFOs, from captured or found flying disks, alien bodies, to inter-communication be- tween the U.S. military and extraterrestrial beings, and much more.
 
Unfortunately, no one is offering an imprimatur for Mr. Doty; he’s out in public, on his own. There is no certification that he is what he says he is or that what he states is true or untrue.
 
All we have is the backlash about him because of his past wayward activity and bouts of untruths or disinformation.
 
That he knows or says he knows can’t be verified it seems; no one is coming forward to defend or certify his pronouncements.
 
All we have, thus far, despite my attempts to get some valid information about Doty so Dominick and Daniel can revel in his pro-ET pronouncements and alleged information about UFOs and ETs he’s pressing forward with, in an attempt to derive some kind of legacy, hoping to offset the nasty classifications that abound about him?
 
Richard Doty is seen as a scalawag of considerable scorn but is that the actual truth about him and his personality or life?
 
Who knows? Who can tell Dominick and Daniel so they can sleep at night, knowing that UFOs are interplanetary travelers visiting Earth and there is proof of that, which Rich Doty proclaims?

  • Any serious private or quasi-governmental investigation of the UFO phenomenon would attempt to get someone like Richard Doty UNDER OATH. He has made extra-ordinary claims about very sensitive AF/SAP programs and information; he should have to substantiate those claims under threat of perjury. A refusal to do so would expose him as a total fraud and end this debate. Substantiation, however, would end most of the UFO speculations and conjectures that have occupied some of us for decades. The question is: How do we get Doty under oath?

  • I suppose that getting him to take a polygraph would help for starters.

    If he is lying to the public now just asking for an oath would do what? If he survives the polygraph he'd make a ton of money.

    Reading will not be too easy.

    Bottom line of those documents: Doty enlisted in the USAF in 1968, age 18, and was honorably discharged in 1988. He was never of officer rank. The highest rank he made was E-7 (E-9 is the highest enlisted rank achievable). So, Doty's rank is nothing spectacular, but is not bad either. I was in the USMC for six years during this time period and got out as an E-5. Doty served as a USAF "patrolman" for a while, He went through various schools during his enlistment. According to the second PDF page, just before he was discharged he was a "Food Services Specialist" which evidently means he was not working for the OSI anymore, but was working in the Mess Hall. Whatever that means.

    So there's no indication that he was "on the inside" of the UFO question during his USAF enlistment. And what he's done since 1988 would be something else, but whenever I see him interviewed I do not get any impression that he actually knows anything directly about SAPs. He just knows how to play interviews and is mainly riffing to get attention.

    In a different post here, IMHO, Curt Collins hit the nail on the head, as far as Richard Doty and UFO's go, which is boiled down to two words, Paul Bennowitz. I guess you could throw in Linda M. Howe with that, but to think Doty is, today, plugged in with up-to-date knowledge is an unjustifiable stretch. Or else let him provide some actual, verifiable documentation. I'm not holding my breath on that.

    Richard Doty has told falsehoods about the origin of the Stealth bomber, saying it was developed from back-engineering or something from alien technology. False. The Stealth bomber was developed from human minds. My uncle helped develop it, specifically the coating to reduce radar detection. He told me how he came up with the idea. He previously worked for NASA on spacecraft. Doty and company are insults to the people, the human geniuses, who worked long hours on these and many other things.
