Along with bromides, in this video, from Sagan, Clarke, Fermi, et al., the idea that advanced ETs would (or might) examine this planet as a kind of zoo, exacerbates my patience. The projection of sci-fi fantasy (and its pernicious psychology) on possible species from far, far away, is too ludicrous to conjure with.
Any beings. coming from a pernicious evolution somewhere in our Galaxy or further away is plausibly so different from what we humans can imagine, that to provide them with thought and activity slightly like our own makes me intellectually bilious.
But the idea that extraterrestrials are motivated much as we, the human species are, remains intact and up front in UFO and UAP discussions.
This is one reason why intellectuals, true intellectuals, eschew the blather of podcasters, philosophers such as Limina (Bryan Sentes' promoted cronies, and persons as eminent at Avi Loeb are already without sta ending in some UFO quarters, not the quarters where Ancient Astronauts roam or the halls of conference where persons hoping to con some suckers out of ay loot they may have.
Nope. Dopiness is the quintessential essence of the UFO/UAP arena, now ad still.
We have to muster our brains to see that the ET factor for UFOs is off base and there has to be some other explanation for the phe- nomenon, and I don't mean angels or demons or protoplasmic entities either.
