Looks to me like the meteor skipped out of the atmosphere--a fairly rare occurrence. As it moved from right to left, it went from faint to bright to faint again and did not terminate with a breakup.
It boggles my mind that people consider this as possibly a UFO instead of an IFO.
How is Rich Reynolds taking a video of a Meteor as an UFO, is speacking for itself why such guys are mythmakers and Ufology is "my" modern myth too. Well, that's ufology in 2013, and from 1947, after all...
Sacred believers, I like to read you, calling me idiotic, silly and so on...
Happy end of year's days, and enjoy 2014!
Plein de bonnes choses à vous, mes amis (Rich included).
I wasn't really avowing the thing seen in the video was anything significant, but ABC news presented the view(s) that it wasn't exactly seen my observers as a meteor or asteroid.
And let me say, that I never thought and do not think you are idiotic or a silly person.
Now some of your ideas, that's a matter for discussion.
I like Gilles. I like Rich. So it pains me, at least a bit, to see a misunderstanding that is based almost completely, as far as I can tell, on a difference in language. Gilles is clearly missing the nuance in Rich's posting - he doesn't think it was a UFO, much less space aliens. He's making fun of the people who do, and the types who report things like this as something anomalous.
It's a gag, Gilles. Alas. you take it far too seriously.
Bonne année 2014 à vous toutes et tous, too. Many Good Things and Delices to You, your closers, and Family. Enjoy the (so short time) we are the passengers here. Sincerly, Gilles

It's a UFO, Larry, not a meteor.
You saw ABC news Sunday night, right?

Ah mon cherie,
I wasn't really avowing the thing seen in the video was anything significant, but ABC news presented the view(s) that it wasn't exactly seen my observers as a meteor or asteroid.
And let me say, that I never thought and do not think you are idiotic or a silly person.

Have a Bonne année.
(Glad you're back. I missed you.)

I'm not back, you decided me as if retired,...
Sorry if Venus explains your USA 1896/97 two main princeps sightings. My bad...
You cant accept it... As an UFO-believer...
You are an UFOlogist after all, and me a Cognitive Psychologist. My bad again...
I understand a believer in UFO (like you) CANT accept it. It is the same for other 1896/97 UFO wave best sigtings.
And now you taking the meteor video (this thread) as an UFO? Waoooo, that's ufology again !
Sacred Ufologists...
Gilles.

It will be a bon 2014, so long as you are part of it.
Have a great year, mon ami, full of skeptical victories.
