U.S. UFO Buffs are dumb, UFO Buffs Elsewhere are smart

My pal and colleague, Spanish UFO researcher Jose Antonio Caravaca, posted his thesis about UFO encounters here and at his blog and on his Facebook page.

He got dozens and dozens of responses at his venues and a sparse few here.

Moreover his respondents at his venues, using their real names usually, provided counter and supporting views with some erudition.

While here, we got a few snarky barbs, and that was it.

French UFO skeptic Gilles Fernandez provides brilliant insights to UFO events and sightings at the blogs where he’s ascendant and on his Facebook page(s).

He also gets intelligent replies. But response to anything from him here is met with ignorance.

And let me note that my pal Kevin Randle has posted a thing about the Ramey memo again, and one can see for themselves the stupid colloquies that has brought.

His usual clan has regurgitated the same old arguments once more, and persist in flogging the issue with nonsense.

The retorts and back-and-forths are shameful in their stupidity.

Blogger statistics show that postings here are read by many, but one only knows the status of those reading by the few who comment, and those few are not Einsteinian in their churnings.

Look at other U.S. UFO blogs and compare them to those from South American bloggers or those from our European buddies to see the vast difference in intelligence.

It’s no wonder that persons with some sense eschew UFOs here. The topic is muddled by ignoramuses.

  • Yes the ceaseless reiterations over the Ramey memo are tiresome and never lead anywhere (and never will).

    There WAS some point in originally trying to decipher this little piece of paper but, as I have commented, we have certainly reached the end. Kevin has said so himself. If ETHers really want to establish that ETs have visited the earth in recent times, they will have to look elsewhere.

    Problem is that some people just will not understand this. They insist this scrap of paper (assumed long destroyed) could yet unlock the great secret of ET life in the universe. And if it really DID contain such information, does anyone really believe it would have been either destroyed or STILL top secret after 7 decades? Do you?

    The Ramey memo is in the trash can, which is where it belongs. Actually it has probably been vaporised.

    Even more ridiculous is the typical ET proponent's insistence that no other method of analyzing the scrap of paper could be used to further decipher what Rudiak claims is the accurate reading, therefore his reading is the "accurate" one.

    J. Bond Johnson's initial testimony, that he brought a telegram with him and handed it to Ramey (as a prop) is most likely the plausible answer behind the "mystery".

    Afterwards Ramey likely waded it up and tossed it into the "round file".

    My post wasn't actually about the memo, but about the work done at the University of Texas at Arlington, their four plus million file of negatives, many of them from the 19th Century, their state-of-art storage facility, and some other interesting things held in the Special Collections. I was going to add more, but realized you don't want to drag the arguments about the memo here, so, I'll hold that door shut.

    I saw the post heading and know it's not your fault that your followers love to review, over and over again, Roswell detritus.

    What's irritating to those of us who follow your blog is that your gang repeats the same stuff, again and again.

    Anything new would be welcome, of course. But our mutual friend CDA and his cohort Brian Bell can't help themselves. They actually salivate when Roswell or Ramey come up at your place.

    It gives them a chance to pretend erudition....pretend, the operative word.

  • I could tell you a lot about bread since I worked at a bakery through my college years back in the late 1970s...but I won't...it's boring.

    To the crux of your post, the UFO topic seems to thrive outside of the US with the concurrent use of the tabloid type of "journalism." Or so it seems to me.

    You've listed many now defunct UFO mags that did the same here in the U.S. Perhaps it's a sign that most have moved on. Remember the "Disclosure" movement? That's dead in the water...always had been...a foolish venture that made those proponents look and sound like loons. And rightfully so.

    Mental foolishness at times seem to support that it may well be the default condition of human thought

  • The topic of bread may be boring, Tim?

    I don't think so. It's got more cachet than UFOs in quarters outside the UFO, although one would think that bread is a major obsession with some UFO researchers that I've seen on TV: obese, from too much bread?

    Then there is Gene Steinberg who is always out of "bread."

    And remember some UFO entities ask for or offer bread to those humans "they" encounter.

    It's a topic worthy of consideration, yes?

    My gift to you all..

    Cheese on toast:

    (a) Butter the toast.
    (b) Sprinkle, chopped-up spring-onion, OR onion-ringlets, on toast.
    (c) Sprinkle, grated-cheese, over that, on your toast.
    (d) "Bake" in oven, with door open, until golden/brown--Be careful not to burn.
    (e) Pepper & Salt to taste.

    Now, enjoy with a cup of coffee. Like UFO, not all will agree, but it is, a quick & easy snack to nock-up, for family & friends alike.
