The craziest UFO abduction stories?

  • There have been dozens of "abduction" stories over the years and certainly some of them are very strange (Parker/Hickson). But having said that, does anyone really believe that anyone, ever, has been abducted by off-the-world aliens?

  • While I don't think ETs are abducting people, I do find, Dom, the Pascagoula event interesting, especially after second witnesses came forward, a credible couple.

The "abduction" is truly odd and something really happened to Hickson and Parker.

What that was is open to real study.

  • If Pascagoula and Flatwoods are examples of government-created mind-freak experiments (I think that's a Nick Redfern conjecture), it's hard to understand how they're being pulled off. DoD must have a special effects studio that rivals Industrial Light & Magic. And when second witnesses are factored into the mix, how do you plan for something unpredictable that falls outside the controls of the experiment? While I think such a project is easier to believe than the alien alternative, something about the whole concept doesn't sit well.

  • I grabbed the 2nd book by Parker, the E book.

And communicated with Mantle, a Facebook pal.

The forthcoming second witnesses convinced me that the episode did happen. (I always thought it was a folie a deux episode or something hallucinatory the two fellows shared or experienced.)

Now I think they were played with by something or someone.

A military or government experimental group?

    Or something much weirder?

The tale is still open to further scrutiny as Parker is available and still holds some details in his mind, deep down.

  • An old CUFOS book called Year of the Humanoids left me with little doubt that Pascagoula was the real deal. Real deal in the sense that whatever happened wasn't prosaic. It's hard to completely rule out some freaky alphabet agency op but even that doesn't seem to fit. Bottom line: at least a few people saw beings like those that Parker and Hickson saw. All over the span of a few weeks and one on the same day but slightly before the Pascagoula case.

To answer Dominick's question: some people seem to believe that. One unfortunate example is David Jacobs. Talk about kooks.

  • By the way whoever wrote that abduction article missed all the craziest cases. Which are from Italy and Latin America.

  • Yah, I thought there were many loonier abduction cases than those listed.
