Socorro, Howard Hughes, the Russians, and Jeff Bezos

Copyright 2021, InterAmerica, Inc.

The 1964 Socorro incident seems like an outlier event -- an ET event, perhaps.

But some of you know that, in the past, this blog (and others of mine) presented extensive information hinting that the object seen by Police Officer Zamora was an LEM, a Lunar landing module prototype created by Howard Hughes, created and tested by Hughes' Aircraft, funded by the CIA, under the rubric Raven Industries. (You can find all the postings by typing Howard Hughes in the search box, at the upper left corner of this blog.)

There are problems with the suggestion of course -- especially the recent highlighted small footprints found at the supposed Socorro landing site -- but the idea is feasible.

Hughes was working with the Soviets at the time, who had developed an egg-shaped lander:

And now we find Jeff Bezos creating an egg-shaped Mars Landers, derived from Hughes Aircraft designs in the Hughes archives:

Note the configuration: egg-shaped with four landers on struts, with a pending Insignia something like this:
My conjecture is this: Bezos would like to have the cachet/halo that engulfed Howard Hughes and is using materials from Mr. Hughes' arsenal of activities, one being the test of a prototype Lander that ended up on the back wall of Ufology, rather than NASA, but funky famous just the same.

  • Yes, but to me, the so called -(egg-shape)- is oblong shaped, or elongated with a length greater than its width..

But I guess, there are (egg-shapes) and there are (egg-shapes) not worth getting clucky over..Call it a (Sphere/Globe).........?

  • Rich, I thoroughly enjoy these kind of conjectures, despite the fact I've had big problems with this particular secret lunar module scenario before. I understand the Hercules image and NASA Artemis logo is an attempt to draw parallels to the Socorro craft and its insignia, and I'm looking into how the Hughes-Soviet and Bezos-Hughes connections tie this all together since I'd not heard of those before.

I think Elon Musk might render Jeff Bezos moot, just as the Socorro footprints might render the whole theory moot as well.

  • Thanks for the photos. Have never seen those before. But we have to remember that the sighting we are concerned about is 1964. The small humanoids that Ronne saw, the footprints, and the flight characteristics of the egg-shaped craft are all difficult (not impossible) to reconcile with 1964 technology. Besides, if this was a Hughes project back then, none of this can or ought to be "secret" now. There would have been hundreds of techies involved; yet not one has stepped forward and solved our mystery?! Sounds highly implausible.

  • Fellows....

(Dominick, you're so cute: secrets. People keep secrets for a long time, sometimes forever.)

The Hughes/CIA connection is still not clear, despite some writers probing it.

Technology in 1964 was greater and more interesting than we generally know. Someone would do well to explore that segment of industry and science, back then.

There are a few problems with Socorro, for me: those damn footprints, not really studied or noted and the so-called symbol or insignia -- screwed up for interpretation by Ray Stanford and his sloppy intrusion in the "event."

That symbol has all the earmarks of a designation (or kind of imprimatur) from the designers of the craft....too Earthly, not interplanetary where linguistics and symbols would surely be so foreign to us that we couldn't understand what they are, if the craft designers had such marking at all within their civilization.

I have a raft of Moon/Mars landers, from the era! They look like the Socorro craft and a few (most) contain for two crew members. But I didn't want to reassume the controversy again.

A few year search for the symbol(s) and that balloon-landing story in a magazine the IU guy saw, wore me out.

  • Hey Rich

I wrote an article back in 2014 on UFOs and Howard Hughes. There are a lot of threads and leads in it.

    Here's the link:

  • Thanks, Nick, I saved the piece, back then, and it was an eye-opener.

There is more to the story and our pal Dominick would find it interesting.
