Casting a net – for UFOs…or?

That new Enigma thing, just like Cifone’s UAP group
and Avi Loeb’s Galileo Project along with a gazillion Facebook UFO/UAP groups are trying to
gather participants for, I’m not sure……reactions to UFO events/sightings? UFO
reports? Camaraderie? What?
A “live” UFO presentation popped up on YouTube Wednesday [7/13] afternoon, showcasing some relatively unknown UFO sightings from early on in the UFO era along with a few almost current incidents, the Phoenix Lights getting a serious nod.
Many long-time UFO entertainers and ufological readers introduced the sightings under review.
It was then that I realized these guys weren’t about understanding or explaining the UFO phenomenon. They were story-tellers, seek- ing the UFO lime-light as rancid as that has become.
This goes to the groups named above. The founders of the groups or associations are not about finding out what UFOs are; they’re about being in the tawdry UAP spotlight, even as putrid as that may be.
What are any of us doing, about or with the UFO phenomenon? We’re all only reacting.
Me. You. Authors. TV hosts. Documentarians. All of us.
We’re not doing anything meaningful. We’re pretending to be doing something. The use of the word “researcher” in UFO circles is a pitiful canard.
So, let’s try to come up with something substantial, finally. Don’t just react to my blatherings. Give a creative account of what UFOs may be.
As my old, vapid college professors you say, Compare and contrast. But do it with intelligent fervor.

Quit just reacting. Leave a mark
on the UFO continuum. Please.

No pressure.
Ufology is not a team sport. No matter how many ufologists come together for a group-think, they've still got nothing. There is still no single thread to coalesce around.
It's why I tend to believe any meaningful information has to come from the inside. Not even Avi Loeb presenting what he thinks is ʻOumuamua's gas cap will be sufficient.
One whistleblower is worth more than all the ufologists combined. If there's a breakthrough it will come from inside the coverup.
