At first I was going to lump it in with the Caravaca theorem, but it is outside Jose's parameters, almost a pathological story -- not unlike one that might come from a troubled person who actually hit someone and then took off before the cops arrived.
We had a few in our local news this week and the stories (excuses for running) were as bizarre as this tale, without the UFO or alien.
It's very odd (as I note) and was ready for evaluation or real investigation at the time, which never occurred, obviously.
It's interesting for a number of reasons -- one of those "old UFO events" that never made headlines and is now useless pretty much, but with some psychological gristle.

Close encounter of the thud kind. Do you think he's making this up, or maybe his mind is?
