UFO Conjectures

So tired of that old-geezer bromide: Let’s check those old UFO cases again; there is missed material in them that will solve the enigmatic phenomenon

Copyright 2023, InterAmerica, Inc.
UFOs are not a cold murder case, where cops, reporters, and family go back to the crime scene and find missed clues that now solve it – the killer brought to justice.

UFO cases have been rehashed – like an abandoned African gold mine – to the point of idiocy. There is nothing there!

Otherwise, we’d all be out of topic for our blogs, books, podcasts, conferences, and talk.

There is an old UFO community and a new, sensible UFO com- munity, one housing persons like Jesse Michels, Chris Lehto, Avi Loeb, even Joe Rogan, et al. where UFOs and their UAP get re- freshed scrutiny.

As I mentioned to Bernie – a new visitor here – in a comment: The UFO geezers blew it (with their addled investigations and “re- search.”) They have to step aside for newbies who come to the UFO [UAP] table with fresh eyes and abilities.

There is nothing in those old UFO reports or cases that can tell us what UFOs are, where they come from, or what their purpose may be.

The hanging-by-a-thread old UFOers have got to move away, go on their travel trips and continue to report their lunch menus, and glad-handings at UFO conferences where the past is still cherished as if that past was memorable, which it wasn’t.

I know it’s hard to give up a long-invested hobby, but there it is….

  • You're not getting an invite to the next big UFO researcher awards ceremony and banquet, Rich.

Actually, they deserve an award of some kind for having accomplished so little.

    Keep rocking the boat.

  • Grazie, Ron.....

The one-time UFO kingpins are pissed off because of my lamentations, but they really have failed to pin a tail on the donkey.

  • Another example of the Wayback Machine in operation appeared on Facebook this afternoon, a link to an expose on Bob Lazar. Does anyone care by now? Knapp comes off looking bad, having fallen for a serial scam artist. It's a given that ufology has been riddled with similar, the story getting more and more corrupted, but all this does is take us further afield.

Further thoughts: A coverup gets its strength by residing in the darkness. We may not have direct answers to your three big questions yet, but bring the secret-keepers to light and we can maybe then work backwards to see what has been hushed. Worked for the Watergate story.

  • What always bothers me about Lazar is that if the "deep state" is as real some think a systematic records wiping and denial denial...could have been possible. Not likely -but then even the presidents won't open the door. Just thinking.

  • Prof. Simon now insisting the Calvine UFO was an English test drone blimp, the rock in the water be damned.

And Rendlesham has been re-examined and is the subject of a new book and audio interviews with the author, after an "extensive five-year investigation."

There's a market for this stuff, despite all the calls for thinking ahead. It's just part of the scene, or as Thanos would put it, "inevitable."

  • I just saw the Rendlesham thing which was followed by a new interest in the Pascagoula story once more.

These shop worn UFO tales are like a zombie, dead but not.

  • In defense of looking "backward."

Older cases accumulate "information" over time as various people probe certain aspects of the case. Ground effects; photographs; witness testimony; medical reports, etc. These research developments take TIME. (The bulk of UFO "research" is private; private time and private money. No wonder, then, that old cases get revisited...impossible time and $$ wise to start from scratch). And then at some point someone will write a review article attempting to pull the various facets of the case together into some sort of a meaningful explanation. And there may then be comments and criticism that call for revisions down the road. This is a necessary process and is similar to the research process in many other areas.

Looking backward and going through the process is NOT the problem. The problem is that the facts and the process may not be of high enough quality to yield any definitive explanation for the phenomenon.

  • Dom...

You make an important point: the facts and the process may not be of high quality...

That has been the essential problem from the beginning.
