A query....
Would it be possible for inter-dimensional beings – if they really existed – to transport humans (or non-inter-dimensional things, such as cars or cows) through matter, like doors, windows, car frames, or other material substances?
What physical laws pertain, or not?

Five-dimensional physics with such dimension being unobservable to the human eye. Theory proposed in the early 1920s. Subscribed to by M-theory (String)...String Theory still such a thing at this present time? It was the darling theory going back 10-15 years ago.
Yet this theory does not establish macro interdimensional movements...that I'm aware of, just that a 5th one exists but is on the sub particle level.
Deep weeds, Rich, but who knows.

Looks like I commented too soon...

Interesting, but still in the theoretical stage...

I would say this sort of thing supports the ET hypothesis.
I don't see how an extra-dimensional being could interact in this way with an ordinary dimensional one such as ourselves, but a physical being - i.e. one simply from another world, with admittedly greater technical know-how - would be able to do to others exactly what it can do to itself.
There may exist a higher dimension within us, which these entities can access - but then they are no longer really extra-dimensional, but at a higher level of "here". I am aware of tales, for example, where particularly righteous rabbis can ascend to the realm of Messiah - this is not, I think, evidence of earthly interaction with an alternative dimension, but rather experience of a higher, hidden, realm *here".
What the relationship between greater technical know-how and greater spiritual rectitude might be - that is the daring line of reasoning to follow. It reminds me of the words of Spielberg's ET, often misquoted (I believe) as "be good!".
