UFO Conjectures

One last bitch for a while...I promise

I just read this on Facebook:

Now, most of us know that Strieber took a fiction and morphed it into a calling, a career.

That Malcolm Robinson is now promoting the guy, because he gave Malcolm some air-time and is "a lovely human being" tackles Malcolm's credibility.

Are some of those people, like Robert Taylor or the A70 guys, given notice by Malcolm because they were lovely human beings, not because they told the truth?

Who can we believe if everyone is so easily conned, by "lovely human beings"?

The UFO field has always been doused with con-men and women, but nowadays the cons are running the show, from top to bottom.

And gullible people, like my pal Malcolm, are pulled down into the depths of stupidity because they were podcasted by a "lovely human being."

It really has to be called out -- not by a pipsqueak like me, but by somebody with credible, intelligent cachet. But who could that be?

There is no one around with the mantle. Everyone has become an ignoramus.

Easy to manipulate as well. The military-intelligence folk must love playing* with them.

    *That word again.

  • The entertainment aspect of the phenomenon has always played as great, or greater, a role in the UFO mystery as the mystery itself. Getting to the bottom of what exactly UFOS are would be glorious for the hardcore answer seekers among us, but for some, it would be an almost a distraction from the head-scratching extravaganza that UFOs represent and the media figures who spin webs of fascinating and distracting tales for the viewers and listeners who tune in for the show. As long as media types continue to package a titillating product, a certain segment of the population will turn in for the performances. I'm not so sure the "answer" is important to the general audience, anyway. Many have been taught not to trust science, politicians, or the "liberal" media, so they're only going to accept whatever answer to the UFO question that comfortably fits into their form-fitted and ironclad philosophy, regardless of whatever the answer turns out to be. If the government or some organization told them what UFOs were, how many would believe? What would it take for you to believe? IMO, UFO disclosure would just be the start of a new chapter of side-taking, much like climate change.
