UFO Conjectures

The futility of UFO interest?

I got the following today [6/19] from a UFO notable:

"Well, so far this year we have had a series of disappointments:

-The fall of Jacques Vallee [with] the Trinity Hoax

-The credulous David Grusch

-10 foot tall aliens (not) in Las Vegas.

Are we so very desperate to know that we have lost all sense of discernment?

Has UFOlogy been infested with fake news and Q-Anon like believers?

We are in a sad state of affairs…

I think of all of the time I have spent that I will never get back in listening and reading all of this complete bullshit."

-----------------------------------

If what David Grusch is spilling is correct -- and I think it is -- the above resonates with what we UFO "hobbyists" have to accept: the UFO [UAP] phenomenon is, indeed, a disappointment, but it's much more than that, isn't it?

You reading this, like me, have spent almost a lifetime saturated with interest in flying saucers, UFOs, and now that UAP overlay that irks most of us.

If, in fact, the U.S. government, and other country agencies, have a handle on what the UFO phenomenon is about -- and I think they do -- all the "foolishness" we, and others, have indulged in is for naught and has been for naught.

We have spent actual countless hours and money on a phenom- enon that outran us and still does, but some intrinsic group of government lackeys, here in the U.S. and elsewhere, have been privy to the "dark secret" of what UFOs represent.

And that dark secret is scary, in a real sense, if it is as David Grusch relates it.

Even if Grusch is off the mark, by a long shot even, what UFOs portend comes to right minds as something so profound that our sense of being -- our reality -- is one big joke and we've been the butt of that joke.

You can disregard the implication(s) of Mr. Grusch's whistle-blowing, even if it is a pile of "bullshit" as my correspondent quoted above puts it, but you'd be mentally irresponsible to do so.

UFOs have gathered around nuclear facilities. The things flying them have abducted people. Scenarios, per Señor Caravaca, have a meaning that is odd and ripe with meaning -- a meaning that is potentially disastrous for humanity.

The whole litany of UFO appearances, in reality and lore, comes as a warning, a warning from God -- as I see it.

That we have been toyed with is certain, by our government, by the silliness of UFO followers themselves, and by the phenomenon itself.

Yes, we are disappointed, as my e-mailer notes.

But more importantly, we have been warned, if we have been paying attention. And a few of us have been....

  • I suppose there is a possibility the whole point of the phenomenon in toto is to demoralise, that that is its purpose. Maybe it even specifically targets those with a greater sense of justice and significance to life. However anything we say on this merely fills a void left by the witholding of actual information. So it is a vicious circle. I think for this reason one should not lose sight of the human things, and the potential for good there. Ufology should not substitute for the many other ways of finding meaning that are established and effective. Like wine from a stranger we should partake carefully - we do not know if the chalice is poisoned.

  • RR, how come? This warning you talk of? Tom.

  • The phenomenon has nothing to do with human values or existence.

The societal overlay -- human behavior, ethics, morality, thinking culture, history, everything -- has nothing to do with the phenomenon.

UFOs are here, and have been, for their own purpose(s) and reasons, which have nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with what humans consider their purpose for living or the purpose of life.

UFOs are the vanguard of something pertinent to UFOs (and their creators). UFOs have nothing to do with our species, evolution, or purpose for being.

You note "human things" and "potential for good" -- these have nothing to do with the UFO purpose, it seems to me.

Forget the human overlay, It's meaningless.

  • RR, OK. I did not mean to imply that they did - only that the human things, separate from the phenomenon, are no more or less true because of the phenomenon. I perhaps should have written it differently. Tom.

  • "They" have probed, poked, and prodded us for a long time. Yet they haven't lifted a finger to reveal themselves beyond these hit and run tactics. So I agree their agenda is theirs alone, and we don't seem to matter beyond being a target of it. They could leave tomorrow and we'd be none the wiser. There's no rule that says we have to know; maybe they do this with other civilizations, and none will ever know who or what they are or where they come from.

If we're lucky, this will happen to us.

  • Perhaps their appearance here is ultimately benign, the reports of harmful interactions with humans an unfortunate result that comes with dealing with a strange species prone to violence. I would gladly accept their disappearing back into the void without leaving a calling card, if that's all the harm or benefit they bring.

But it's their bus ticket to punch, whatever their schedule is. Hope it's soon (Pacific Standard Time).

  • We should -and certainly cannot not- ignore the reality of the science of these events while allowing that it is being held back from us. Religious? -not likely- but the I have always had Fatima in back of my mind as I have said before.

Clearly there is a new(?) science ongoing here and in that effort the best minds and facilities are at work with the available data.

It's too soon to go short on discovery.

  • Bryan:

There is a "religious" patina over the UFO phenomenon, one that has long abused our efforts to get at the phenomenon, religion, like present-day government militaries, using the phenomenon for its own ends.

Not to see that baffles me.

See the Pasulka video below. It may enlighten you.
