As usual the story mentions the possibility of the star being affected by a "Dyson sphere" type structure.
This is still a hypothetical concept...right?
Freeman Dyson himself did not like his name connected to the hypothetical structure since he was not the first to propose such a thing. Dyson's hypothesis is based on a thought experiment. The concept came from writers of science fiction books going back to the 1930s.
