Hastings and UFOs at nuclear facilities
Copyright 2018, InterAmerica, Inc.
Robert Hastings has provided ample reporting that shows UFOs
have reconnoitered America’s nuclear facilities.
There is little doubt that some odd craft-like “things” have
visited nuclear sites housing military nuclear armaments and nuclear related
technology.
But what “objects” would do that and why?
In the movie The Day the Earth Stood Still,
extraterrestrial Klaatu offered that his visitation was to warn Earthlings that
their hostile instincts would not be allowed to be spread beyond this planet:
Klaatu:
I am leaving soon, and you will forgive me if I speak bluntly. The universe
grows smaller every day, and the threat of aggression by any group, anywhere,
can no longer be tolerated. There must be security for all, or no one is
secure. Now, this does not mean giving up any freedom, except the freedom to
act irresponsibly. Your ancestors knew this when they made laws to govern
themselves and hired policemen to enforce them. We, of the other planets, have
long accepted this principle. We have an organization for the mutual protection
of all planets and for the complete elimination of aggression. The test of any
such higher authority is, of course, the police force that supports it. For our
policemen, we created a race of robots. Their function is to patrol the planets
in spaceships like this one and preserve the peace. In matters of aggression,
we have given them absolute power over us. This power cannot be revoked. At the
first sign of violence, they act automatically against the aggressor. The
penalty for provoking their action is too terrible to risk. The result is, we
live in peace, without arms or armies, secure in the knowledge that we are free
from aggression and war. Free to pursue more... profitable enterprises. Now, we
do not pretend to have achieved perfection, but we do have a system, and it
works. I came here to give you these facts. It is no concern of ours how you
run your own planet, but if you threaten to extend your violence, this Earth of
yours will be reduced to a burned-out cinder. Your choice is simple: join us
and live in peace, or pursue your present course and face obliteration. We
shall be waiting for your answer. The decision rests with you.

The implication and meme that Sci-Fi fans and many
ufologists took away from Klaatu’s “suggestion” has to do with nuclear warfare or weapons of a
nuclear kind (atom bombs).
But as you can see, his concern was directed at human kind’s
violent nature, not atom or hydrogen bombs.
Yet, many UFO buffs think – I’m not privy to Robert Hastings
thinking on what UFOs may be or why they visit the nuclear sites he’s listed in
his writings – that UFOs are piloted (manned) by ETs who are here to check out
Earth’s nuclear capabilities, as if humanity’s atomic arsenal could be
detrimental to their civilizations.
As readers here know, I do not see UFOs as visitors from
galaxies far away or from outposts at the fringe of the universe.
Moreover, atomic tests would never be detected by
civilizations light years away or even on a moon of Jupiter or Saturn.
An atomic bomb test or blast, while massive and startling
here on our home planet, such an explosion would never register on a planet
light years out or even on a planet as close as Mars or Venus.
So what are UFOs doing around nuclear silos or atomic
missile housing?
I’ve suggested that UFOs may be, sometimes, non Neumann-like
probes of an AI nature and these machines think that computer and technology
flush at nuclear sites are AI “creations” like themselves and are trying to
communicate with their AI “brethren.”
Farfetchery, yes?
If UFOs are from advanced civilizations, one would think
they’d contain sentient, intelligent beings who were more concerned that
Earthlings traversing the galaxy or Universe might bring destructive germs and
viruses to their home planet(s) much as the Spanish brought small pox and other
calamitous diseases to the great civilizations of the Americas, and which was
the cause of the resultant destruction of H. G. Wells' Martians in his War
of the Worlds.
No, UFOs are not hovering over nuclear missiles for fear of
them being transported by space travelers to their home planets.
But why are they there?
Why are UFOs here at all?

It has been stated by Ufology, many times, that ET/UFO are here, residing in underground, & underwater bases, for some time now. Not only do some visit here, but others live here, as we do. "Charles Hall" talks about the "Tall Whites" & his alien encounters with them, and so on. He says, they are as afraid of us, as he was of them, so I think we can safely say, they know, how human kind’s violent nature, can be, here on planet Earth, & is considered the NORM! Look at the animal kingdom etc. It is not so much the violent nature, they may be concerned with, but in a addition, a weapon of "Mass-Destruction" that could extinguish all life on Earth, including them, so Yeah, they're concerned all right! even an AI would understand that.........

Like your recent post on the banal philosophical utterances of aliens reported by 'contactees', we're rightfully worried about the advances in weaponry power and life-destroying abilities we are accomplishing here on our own planet.
The worthy concerns of Aliens seem to mirror exactly the worthy concerns of completely terrestrial earthlings, who, by chance, we have learned, have fucking incredible imaginations and a story-telling ability that is not always well represented by 'contactees'.
Had to get that out of my system, thanks for reading,

I expect that no statistical analysis has been done on these sightings at nuclear bases. This means Hastings is going by his gut instinct and not on any proper scientific analysis. Or perhaps Hastings is in telepathic contact with the UFO denizens to encourage them to appear over these sites?
Once again, remember he is only considering the USA. He has not, I am sure, given a thought to nuclear facilities in other countries. So we need to ask, again, why the ETs seem so interested in the USA.

As a follow-up, presumably the ETs are now, more than ever, hovering over North Korea's nuclear bases.
And when the ETs get the info they want, they can then pass it on to the UK and the US (Trump will certainly thank them!)

Hastings' data mainly consist of interviews by 150 (so he states) former military personnel assigned to US nuclear bases. Missing is the 10,000 plus who served in the same capacity over the years who have never come forward to support his theory.
You'll note that despite Hastings stating that UFOs have attempted to interfere with our nuclear operations, US ICBMs have continued to be upgraded with new command and control systems and more accurate guidance systems...our systems continue to evolve...so much for ET's interference.

Given the state of our knowledge about the nature of UFO's, our ability to understand their "possible" interest in nuclear sites is akin to asking why spiders have 8 legs. Who the hell knows. They just do.
Maybe not a particularly helpful observation but, under the circumstances, exceedingly rational.

I have it on the highest authority in the Pentagon that way back in the late 40s, the leader of the ETs ordered his alien troops to "Get at 'em!" and wipe us out. But, those same ET troops thought he said, "Get atom!" That's why they hover around our atom bases. I know that because it's all in the MJ-Bullshit files (which is the current successor to MJ12).

Even Hastings "best" stories are just spook stories that have more in common with ghosts and haunted houses than nuclear and missile space-age technology tall tales.
(At least Ken Arnold claimed to have seen some sort of aerospace high-technology.)
The first of these stories in the 1960s originated at nuclear-armed bases on the east coast; and the narrative was fairly fixed from then on: A lone guard on duty at night gets spooked by a bright scintillating star or most likely the planet Venus! And then it snowballs from there. A classic Small Group Scare.
Just as in a hundred Airship tales....

But airships were real....from where? Who knows. (I wrote about their source years ago at the RRRGroup blog.)

Let's not forget (despite my joke) that there is a long history of UFOs and atomic/nuclear issues. For example, in the 1940s when Project Twinkle was created, its staff were concerned by the fact that many of the "Green Fireball" reports were near Atomic Energy Commission sites etc.

Nick Redfern, at Friday, January 05, 2018
But why, Nick?
Atomic power seems likely to be primitive to an advanced species checking us out.
RR
By

Yeah, that's the important question, because it's not as if we can reach them. We are an insignificant little planet, so why would they care and worry about our nukes? That's the question that needs answering.
By
Nick Redfern, at Saturday, January 06, 2018
All I can think of, Nick, is that the atomic bomb (which may have seemed primitive to the likely fictional alien visitors), is seen by them as a step in progress to something far worse. They led to the more powerful nuclear weapons that are sported by some today.
Are these nuclear weapons yet another step all too familiar to these visiting beings who know only too well what kind of more advanced weapons will naturally flow from them in the future, galaxy destroying weapons.
This is just a idea, creative and doomish, but that describes so much of ufology, it probably sounds quite likely to the starry-eyed mouth-breathers who promote grand ufological bullshit.

I can think of another reason. We were all "seeded" here in a very old "experiment" and whoever did this wants to be sure that we don't blow ourselves up and prematurely end the experiment.
By
Dominick, at Sunday, January 07, 2018
Dominick:
That experiment is going on a bit long.....even for a species with a longer life span that ours.
And, again, nuclear destruction is less likely than warming ourselves to death or dying of a pandemic of some kind.
I think the end of the experiment took place when God flooded the Earth then vowed not to do that again, a mistake on His part.
