I’m not entranced by the AA's often besmirched versions of what narratives and texts mean, finding the theorists and followers to be as psychotic as Ezekiel himself.
But one can see that Ezekiel, who may have had a vision or actual sighting as he described it, could well have envisioned his “chariot” not as an upright wheel but as a round, lying-flat wheel with a rotating wheel as its inner or outer rim, as often seen or designed by engineers:
This goes to interpretive renditions of what is told by witnesses or as written down by investigators: one has to be precise, so as to eliminate mistaken information that will side-track explanation or observational verities that take investigators away from a truth.

A creative mind, can interpret “wheels within wheels” in many distinct configurations, so WHO's, is correct?....The question is; What did Ezekiel see
exactly/precisely?...........?

I haven't read Ezekiel in forever, so find it odd that all the artistic renderings of his "wheels" on Google Images show them upright. Rich suggesting horizontal kinda shakes things up. Good.

Halperin's material on Ezekiel are terrific.
I'v written about the "mad" prophet often but suggest Halperin's SEEKING EZEKIEL: TEXT AND PSYCHOLOGY [Penn State University Press, 1993]
David, long before me, took up the psychological maladies of the great Biblical personality.
Yet, as you know, I think mad (insane) persons -- psychopaths, schizophrenics, et al. -- have access to visions and/or realities that either provoke or add to their mental disturbances.
So....

Thanks for this alternative conjecture, Rich. It should have been glaringly obvious ages ago, but we've all associated "chariot" with a vehicle having two or more "wheels" vertical on an axle. Not necessary to think that way. If something was spinning, Ezekial perhaps used the only reference he had, culturally--the wheels of the chariot. Not much else was spinning in Iron Age technology.

Apologies to inform that the Bible:
1. Claims Earth is flat; being the universal center & orbited by the sun.
2. Plagiarizes the ancient Sumerian-pagan Myth on Creation in denying evolution. Find “Sumerian Temptation Tablet” & the book Genes, Giants, Monsters and Men by JP Farrell.
3. Recycles the fictional Epic of Gilgamesh as actual Story of Noah’s Ark. Find the article The Impossible Voyage of Noah's Ark at the NCSE dotgov site.
4. Advertises a mentally-questionable entity as a ^loving^ creator of humanity (the following book is also to answer to any who will claim that nowhere in the Bible is slavery being forbidden & denounced because God “does not want to micro-manage humanity”): Find the article Drunk With Blood: God's Killings in the Bible at the dotcom website of skepticsannotatedbible. And no; Jesus never came as a more loving & forgiving replacement deity, because he & the Father “are always in perfect agreement” & “God does not change”.
5. Having the name Hesus “conveniently coincidentally” similar to Horus the ancient-Egyptian deity? Kindly read the book Christ in Egypt: The Horus-Jesus Connection by DM Murdock.
6. Condemns Satan yet admitting contradictorily that Satan works for the Biblical deity in testing faith; taking away what God no longer wants one to have (Job 1:21); & scaring people into believing in God as “Savior Light”. Bible readers know that Satan was intentionally created cunning (Gen 3:1); cannot harm without God’s permission (Job 1:9, 11, 12) & takes direct orders from Hesus (Mark 1:27)? How can “all things” in Romans 8:28 doesn't also include bad ones? If anything, the Bible is an ironic insult to the very deity it wants us to acknowledge & worship as ^God^.
Yes I agree with the contention that having quite a few wrongs does not invalidate the truths contained in any book. But what UFO-logy & a lot of comic writers failed to realize is that the Bible is a book of ideological manifesto with a fundamental objective of forcing & even force-killing humanity to be uniformly mindless in obedience to its elites.
Communism is where & when you see people dress, eat, behave, think & worship the same things --why does Christianism not qualify at least as 1 form of it? Communism in fact behaves very much like religion, where the CCP of China establishes itself as the deity, while the God of North Korea is Jong Un. However in all honesty, “communism” is a linguistic oxymoron since how can any society be a “communal” when led by elites with elevated privileges? China is an oligarchic state while North Korea is monarchic; nothing “communistic” about them.
Now at a glance this has got nothing to do with UFO-logy, but kindly observe how many people have been duped by this “politics of communism-labeling” & how it had created &/or changed world history (including, especially, in my country Indonesia). The same can objectively be said about the Bible & its politics. It is thus not fair for any writer to just refer to the Bible without stating their personal stance towards it (including, especially, in cherry-picking several verses). Because again, this is a book claimed --even force-claimed-- to be inspired by an all-knowing, most wise & unconditionally loving creator of all that can possibly exist. You either propagate it ideologically or you give a disclaimer why that is not your intention.
