The proof is not in the photographic pudding when it comes to UFOs

Some regulars here – Dominick for one – think that certain UFO photographs are authentic – the Billy Meier stuff or the Heflin photos.
But a bevy of Paul Villa photos showed up in a YouTube notification I got 1/26, the 1960s snapshots were hot back then but now reside in the hoax category even though the photos were created as skillfully at Meier’s or Heflin’s.

Background vetting of Villa (and Meier) indicated hoaxing.
Heflin not so much, so we remain stumped by his series of snapshots.
What would have been his point in creating the series? He
didn’t really capitalize on them.
And they remain open to inquiry, still, in 2023.
But do they tell us anything about UFOs, except that they are enigmatic?
Photos, alone, of UFOs get us nowhere.
That’s how it is and how it’ll remain, until a bona vide, examination of a UFO itself, in situ, is made by someone totally credible in the public sector.
But don’t hold your breath…

Let me say, "IF"...These photographs are not real, then what are they?..
Are they a Wedding-Cake or a Hub-Cap?:)...OR...The real deal!?..
Or are we just going to remain haunted by whatever we see them as?..
What matters, IS; The likes of these photographs, are what is being reported by reliable witnesses..
More than one reliable witness?..."The stronger the case" in report..
In my book. That's what matters........

Don't think that the "Billy Meier stuff" is all authentic. Where did I ever say that? All I ever said is that ONE of his photos, the one shot in an open field (the wood-cut photo), is very difficult to explain in terms of a hoax. This is made all the more puzzling when one understands the entire context of the photo and where and how the film was developed.
Heflin's another matter. Yes, I have concluded that all of his polaroids are genuine...i.e., not faked. WHAT the object is I have no idea. Could be a super-secret vehicle from the near-by Marine base, which is what he thought.
Finally, photos cannot tell you everything but they can tell you something, especially if we have a witness account that we can trust. If I show you a picture of a strange object at an airport, we can say with reasonable certainty that it is a strange, but that it is not a tree or a golf bag or a bunck of cinder blocks. If the witness tells us the airport, we can go there and take measurements of a similarly sized object under conditions that match the witness account. This will allow us to understand relative size, how the sun should hit the surfaces, etc.Severe blow-ups of the photo may reveal data not easily understood. In the Heflin photo, he indentified something unique under his UFO, some sort of revolving light source. Digital analysis, years later, supported Heflin; it also identified black particulate matter in several of the photos that was simply not visible either to Heflin or in his first 3 original polaroids, but was seen in photo 4.
Rich, I know your frustration. We want answers before we all leave this mad planet. A solid photo with a good witness account can give us some information, some answers (it can rule out alternative explanations, which is the way science often works) but not, of course, ALL the answers we crave.
Having said all of this, I believe that the authorities have hundreds of clear, HD photos. It is up to our Congress to shake them loose.

A couple of things... Yes, I think there are some definitive photos of very unusual or advanced craft in military or government hands. Why none in public hands baffles, as noted by an item placed here the other day.
Meier's photos are exquisite but, in context, baffling and hardly advanced in nature, his aliens Victorian.
Heflin is odd man out. A military prototype makes sense.
But ultimately, Dom, while a photo may tell us something, it won't tells us what the UFO is exactly or where it comes from.
But I think there is a really good UFO pic somewhere in the lore and a tale from someone who really had an actual encounter with a UFO entity somewhere in the literature and I will address that in the next day or so.

Rich:
-> Some, Daniel, has been shown to be non- authentic.<-
I understand that Rich...My point is, the photographs need not be the focus, of what is claimed to be out there, but the reports of such..IS..
If we can't except the report of a "credible witness or witnesses" Then we've lost it..
It will go nowhere..............
