I saw the comment wondering why the craft broke up if the debris found from the crash couldn’t be dented, cut, etc.
This is because, like a car, you have different parts that are made of different materials that serve different purposes. Glass can be seen through but can crack easily. Steel gives solidity of frame and rubber provides cushion from friction. Each material behaves differently when subjected to a crash.
Perhaps some of the craft’s parts or materials were meant to break away in the event of a crash. Maybe this was the “skin” of the craft that served a technical purpose which we do not understand.
It was more a comment about the extraordinary claims made for this material than a mechanical engineering query about saucer parts. There have been hints about the properties of the debris, but so far no definitive answers as to where they came from or what they are, mostly a lot of wishful thinking and maybe's. Looking forward to further reports.

More accounts of indestructible metal. But it's debris, so what broke it apart?

Yah... That is a valid point for discussion or clarification.
This inept construction flies in the face of the supposedly advanced species using UFOs to get here or just fly around.
