John Keel: Again and Again

Copyright 2021, InterAmerica, Inc.

My pal, Bill Murphy, from Patrick Huyghe’s industrious Anomalist group, offered today [10/21/21] some links to materials and commentary about John Keel.

Bill, like other UFO enthusiasts, is enamored with Keel, who was a creative writer and researcher of paranormal and ufological episodes and incidents.

(I have a few of his interesting books.)

But Keel descended into a delusional mindset in his late years, which I’ve noted here a few times as you know.

This doesn’t mean his earlier work is tainted and maybe not even some of his later stuff.

But it does mean that there are saner expositions in the public ether, and to keep touting Keel and his late-life psychotic ramblings and delusional encounters – which seem to fascinate the sensationalizing members of the UFO community – does a disservice to paranormal and UFO truths, if there are any.

The cluster of Keel ephemera should be set aside, for truth's sake, and a sane approach to what serious UFOers do or try to.

Let Keel rest in peace.
