SuperHumanities, Pre-Human species, Crypto-terrestrials, and ???

The recent "Archive" conference mentioned here, for a moment, offered much that is ludicrous and at the edge of serious discussion about UFOs.
The side-bar that presses in on my UFO inclinations comes from admired, by some reading here, Jeff Klipal whose pending book, SuperHumanities, purporting to be, I’m guessing, that UFOs are the product of a special species, once connected to this planet.
Mac Tonnies’ crypto-terrestrials was heading in that direction, and some YouTubians stress the idea that an advanced pre-human species existed on Earth long ago, prior to the early spate of hominids most of us are familiar with.
Even my strayed path into a “history” of God (and gods) has betrayed a hint of UFO inclusion, which is a speculation I almost regret, but not quite….
At any rate, the idea, slipping into the UFO ether, is that something is perpetuating the UFO phenomenon, and it isn’t extraterrestrials or modern military technology.
This “other” scenario has been fostered by John Keel, Vallee, and a few others, but it is without substance, and a conjecture that even I find iffy.
UFOs are substantive, in my mind, a concrete, material reality, which is what makes the ETH so popular, despite the arguments against such a probability.
It’s a little disheartening to see so much time, effort, and paper being spewed about the paranormal other things that the rest of us see as objects in flight from somewhere, tangible and real.

"UFOs are substantive, in my mind, a concrete, material reality, which is what makes the ETH so popular, despite the arguments against such a probability."
One aspect of the mystery: the objects seen for decades in the sky, with lights, performing almost impossible maneuvers of flight and control, tracked on radar, with associated EM effects are certainly "substantive" and "concrete" and bespeak a "material reality." I think that all of this is by now beyond any reasonable doubt. Even the so-called skeptics must now admit this or look completely insane.
The other aspect of the mystery: The close or reasonably close encounters with entitites and alleged medical procedures. Take the best example: The Hickson and Parker case. Parker and Hickson clearly "experienced" something unworldly as evidenced, at least, by the secret tape recordings made in the police station that substantiate the tale that they told authorities. Something outside of their (and our) normal experiences happend to those men and that seems to me to be beyond question. But what was that "something"?
An experience perpetuated by (a secret race of) "gods" from out past or time travelers from our future? Really? For what possible purpose...assuming that "purpose" has any meaning here? Is it any wonder, then, that despite all of the possible objections (and there are a multitude), the ETH still has legs compared to almost any rival hypothesis.

I have been reading Bryan Sentes's reporting although they are difficult to read by one long out of academia [a thankful and regular supporter of Wikipedia] and lengthy.
While we are in new state of suspension, awaiting some disclosure following recent military acknowledgments, it remains confusing when we consider the the variety of UFO sightings past and present.
Our discussions here and in consideration of the enormous distances involved in the cosmos have led me to think toward dimensional contact/observations of some kind but my one clear UFOs observation appeared a physical object.
As also noted recently, it is notable and distressing that there is no apparent help to mankind from the UFOs...

Of late, after feeling particularly frustrated, I went looking for answers in Forteana. This turned out to be a fool's errand. I was intrigued, and don't doubt there's something going on there, but it's an even greater rat's nest than UFOs, and ultimately I just couldn't find a connection that resonates. Some recent posts here helped to clarify the muddle for me and so I find myself back where I started.
The one clear thing about UFOs, as Bryan D. and Rich have mentioned, is that whatever they are, their indifference is staggering.

I think because there are varying life forms sharing this world, each of us, keep our distance, and get on with it...We have nothing of real interest, to the intelligence behind UFO even if it is AI or otherwise. But what may take place, if we locate their residing base, may be more staggering and distressing than we wish to take on:).......
