The study's conclusions should post sometime around April 1st. I merely point out the coincidence.

As NASA has already known formal and secret military aspects with the Air Force/now Space Force why the pronouncements? What's the difference? Diversified secrecy?

NASA has been forced into a public stance, which I'm sure they much enjoy. So they'll play their part, quickly and on the cheap, and then stand with (or just behind) the government task force report when the announcement comes that there's nothing to see here.
Whatever else the grand plan is will continue to unfold in secret. Publicly, kicking the can down the road has always worked.
