Quaint. A weird and unsettling golden age, if ever there was one. Can't imagine the era and culture without the specter of flying saucers.
The USAF has spent a lot of effort keeping the lid on these things since then. Like a juggler trying to keep rotating plates from falling off sticks, only saucers instead of plates.
