The “new” UFO Skeptics

These fellows are quick to discount David Grusch, as I’ve noted often enough, but they do so with a vigor that is as sense- less as that of the Philip Klass type or the little known French odd-ball, Gils Fernandez.
The gripe of the new skeptics is that Grusch is autistic or just a con man, looking to capitalize on the UFO “market.”
Paul Kimball just dislikes the flowering that has engulfed Grusch, from news media and UFO stalwarts like Dominick or me here, and the temperate UFO long-timers who finally have a champion to press for real “disclosure” not pseudo disclosures like that pounded by Greer or Bassett, and slugged in media by Knapp or Corbell, super cons, tripping on the psychedilia of ufology.
Grusch is under attack, by those who want him to shut up or be shut up – Dominick’s caution to Grusch – watch your back – is well understood by some of us, but not the new skeptics.
They want Grusch to go away, because he’s stealing their thunder. He’s the guy who’ll break the secret stranglehold that the deep state – a term I hate to use – has on the UFO [UAP] phenomenon.
The new skeptics want to be, have always wanted to be, the guys – one or two of them – who break open the UFO secret. Now Grusch is a real hope – he has the goods, second hand perhaps, but goods none the same.
The new skeptics dismiss such second hand goods, but all their research is based on second hand goods, from witnesses or those at the periphery of some UFO events.
So, sad as it may be for the new skeptics, Grusch will end up being the spark that forces the real black vault to open.
If that doesn’t happen, it can be said that some of us were wrong, but we’ve been wrong before, so that honorarium is okay.
We may end up being foolish, but not stupid – because we gave a good guy the benefit of the doubt.

The familiar concern to me is that Grusch reports only what other have seen.
Where then are reports by those others who confided in him but not in their own disclosure?
Sounds like a Lazar-familiar effort which is disturbing.
Notably however Grusch is a true military officer under oath. But then again, as I have said here before, so were Greer's numerous would-be testifiers, also informed individuals and willing to testify under oath to congress.
Where does that leave us?

The public release of Grusch's medical file is disturbing in itself, but even more so when considering the greater campaign being waged against him.
The Intercept article the file was revealed in is similar to other statements made in the media and Congress, all focusing on how "embarrassing" the hearing was and complaining that Congress was wasting its precious time on on such a subject (UFOs). Statements by some congresspeople echoed similar sentiments. Focus is more on the individual than the subject, which is brushed away with a wave of the hand in disgust.
Standing back from the in-rush of such critiques, there's a suspicious similarity in tone and substance to them all, coming across for all the world like the old Fox News "talking points" memos passed around to keep all the Conservative news readers there on-subject with repetitious and usually fake news stories.
The counter-Grusch movement is more than likely coordinated and comes from a singular source. Coincidence, in this case, can be swept away. For those that have been on the fence about Grusch's claims and purpose, slam journalism, the walking-in-step attacks, the doubling-down and lashing out, can't help but tilt the balance.
