UFO skeptics are not evil, just lazy….most of them

My pals Zoam Chomsky and Lance Moody have taken to
chastising UFO believers by throwaway lines of condescension, a practice I’d
usually laud for its brevity and pertinence.
And I know they are tired of trying to correct the alleged
mindlessness of UFO buffs.
But if one wants to correct the corrupt thinking of UFO
fanatics, one should take the roads of Robert Sheaffer or the exuberant French
skeptic Gilles Fernandez, both exerting counter-argument and materials to
rebuff what they see as the silliness of UFO thinking.
Yes, ufology or UFO belief is fraught with lots of nonsense but the mysterious phenomenon is, in essence, non-sensible, in behavior, intent, and physicality, among other odd eccentricities.

I just think that if one wants to berate UFO belief, they’d
do so with something others than a whisper that the believer is nuts or
lunkheaded.
The pasty, now dead skeptic, Philip Glass (may he Rest in
Peace), who contended with UFO believers and notables like Stanton Friedman,
was just nasty, whereas Zoam and Lance are lovable.
But their lovableness is too pithy for the arguments of a
UFO reality or non-reality.
If one wants to correct the thinking of UFO people, they
need to do so with zeal and élan, not a smooch on the cheek and a wave of their
middle finger.
The UFO topic deserves better, even if it is full of
mischief and foolishness.
