What do the arts tell us about reality (and UFOs)?

My pal Dominick wrote, in a comment a few posts back, that he was a bit put off by what he saw as tangential insertions here, non-UFO-pertinent material.

And I suspect that others feel similarly; uncouth bastards! (I kid….sorta).

Since we have no idea what UFOs are, can one make a statement that anything doesn’t apply?

I always try to make a connection, not succeeding sometimes (often?), but I try.

And here’s another attempt to do so.

Herman Melville’s Moby Dick tells us that God or the Supreme Intelligence or the creator/operator of the Matrix is evil; bringing attention to oneself or searching for God (the Intelligence or Matrix gamester) will bring disaster upon oneself:

"Moby Dick seemed combinedly possessed by all the angels that fell from heaven. The wide tiers of welded tendons overspreading his broad white forehead, beneath the transparent skin, looked knitted together; as head on, he came churning his tail among the boats; and once more flailed them apart ..."

Shakespeare’s Hamlet [1.5.167-8] tells us that:

“There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,

Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”

Jesus informs that there are many existences (universes) per John 14:2 [The New Testament]:

“In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.”

Milton, in Paradise Lost [Book VIII] warns:

“Heaven is for thee too high

To know what passes there; be lowly wise.

Think only what concerns thee and thy being;

Dream not of other worlds, what creatures there

Live, in what state, condition, or degree,

Contented that thus far hath been revealed.”

Art (older and new) lets us know that strange things appear in the sky (or one’s imagination):

Music – Charles Ives The Unanswered Question tells us that we can ask about or seek an explanation (for UFOs), but no answer will be forthcoming:
