The History Channel’s Project Blue Book Viewers

The number of viewers watching The History Channel’s new series Project Blue Book have declined precipitously since the show’s premiere:

2.266 million viewers for the premiere

1.880 million viewers for Episode 2  (a decline of - 30.23%)

1.945 million viewers for Episode 3  (a slight uptick in viewers)

The third episode’s pick up of some viewers stems from the publicity, bad and good, about the show I think.

My pal Kevin Randle has doubled down on his like for the show, even as he shows (at his blog) that the depiction of some iconic UFO sightings/events are disastrously flawed.

UFO stalwart Micah Hanks likes the show, as do many other UFO notables.

Nick Redfern finds the show wanting, but Tim Hebert’s wife likes it. (See Nick’s reviews here, below.)

Dominick, like me, hates it!

Academic Bryan Sentes enjoys the show, as a cultural artifact, even as he deflowers the creative botches throughout, especially in Episode Two, about the Flatwood’s monster. (See his review here, below.)

Film-maker, history maven, and UFO notable of the first rank, Paul Kimball, is indifferent – not particularly interested – in the despicable, as I see it, TV presentation.

For me, the show is a disaster, but one that some can’t look away from, which I and Paul Kimball think stems from “the ongoing desperation of UFO buffs to be taken seriously” he writes.
