UFOs and the magnitude of Earth’s [our] insignificance

In the context of our cosmological reality, this planet Earth is inconsequential, no matter how we humans think otherwise.

And each human being on it, now or in the past, likewise inconsequential, unless …

You who read here, like me, surely believe that we can’t be the only species in the seen and unseen Universe that has thought and intelligence.

But we are out of the “loop.”

By that I mean that other species seem likely to have evolved and established viable civilizations, many in advance of ours (some not).

And one has to imagine that some of those civilizations have sought beings elsewhere in the cosmological realms like themselves: thinking entities,

But Earth is not one of them.

Despite the Ancient Alien foolishness, Earth does not seem linked to what should be a interactive communication array that keeps advanced civilizations in touch.

How that array works falls within the quantum possibilities: non-local entanglement of quantum particles used to communicate instantaneously as often outlined here and by others elsewhere.

While SETI hopes to “hear” signals from extraterrestrial advanced civilizations, the mechanism it suggests to hear is primitive: radio.

Communication established between thinking species, without galactic or cosmological proximity (or within) seems a logical possibility if species are truly advanced, with all the hallmarks of what “advanced” means.

Inquiry, curiosity, and a need to know would be ingredients for an advanced species, it seems to me (and others).

Readers here think we Earthlings are “advanced” but that is a human, hubristic canard.

If we were advanced, we would have resolved the quantum entanglement scenario to send intelligible and intelligent messages into the cosmic sphere, not a gold LP platter.

We are out of the loop, should there be one.

That many see UFOs as harbingers of advanced beings from elsewhere, and I accede to the possibility but not in the numbers that UFO sightings/reports indicate.

As most of you know I accept the idea that a space enabled species may have stumbled upon Earth via exploratory missions or by use of von Neumann probes: AI craft:

And such craft may have made and are still making forays here, but surely not in the numbers that UFO buffs think their sightings indicate.

The idea is preposterous on its face unless some civilization (or more) were addicted to the Earth and, in the context of the wondrous Universe, that would not signify advanced thinking.

The Earth that we see as special and wondrous would hardly be so to truly advanced civilizations, unless the Earth is so quirky and odd – a possibility – that it brings curious ETs here much as humans go to zoos or Las Vegas.

My point, as usual, is that, as it is, from what we can see lies in our galaxy and beyond, the Earth is a speck of nothing in the great, real scheme of things.

To believe otherwise is delusional.
