ETs don’t have pets?

I’ve scoured hundreds, or more, of UFO humanoid encounter
reports (or tales), and I don’t recall any in which witnesses have seen an
extraterrestrial accompanied by an animal or animal-like thing, which might be
called a pet.
In human recorded stories and accounts, pets are often
mentioned as appendages to the protagonist or main story-related person(s):
Pirates had parrots
Ulysses had a dog, Argos
Perseus had a mechanical owl
Many American presidents had dogs as pronounced pets
Jesus had a donkey
Diogenes (the great Greek philosopher) associated with dogs:
“Diogenes' association with dogs was memorialized by the
Corinthians, who erected to his memory a pillar on which rested a dog of Parian
marble.” [Wikipedia]
You get the point.
In human culture and recorded (or noted) accounts of human
activity, even more so, today, animals play a significant part in human
activity and often are integral to news accounts.
But in ET-related reports, there are none, or scarcity to
the point that one can say there have been no (or so few) witness reports of
animals alongside or near entities that figure into UFO accounts that one has
to concede that ETs, if they really exist and are visiting this planet, are doing
so without he companionship of pets.
