The Vice Channels 2 hour UFO program 2/1/2022

The VICE channel presented a two hour, seven minute UFO documentary Tuesday night [2/1/2022[ beginning at 8 p.m.

 
The program, while suffused with extraterrestrial assertions, also provided several suggestions for other UFO explanations.
 
Our pal Nick Pope held the program together with his usual moderated commentary and professional demeanor.
 
Our buddy Julien here would have enjoyed the Hessdalen lights segment, which even I found interesting.
 
Dominick and Dan would have experienced some alternate views that might submerge their fevered acquiescence to the ET proposition.
 
The show was objective and flush with some new material and support for the idea that UFOs may be interested in nuclear materials, something I find tenuous, but the show made a case.
 
VICE offered a nice ride, giving John Greenewald Jr. and Seth Shostak much input and support for those pummeled by their UFO experience until the AATIP video exposé.
 
The show’s UFO history was nice to recall and the latest UFO updates were good to see.
 
I’d hope that some of you can find the show online and give it a viewing.

That book which surveys UFOs from the 1920s

I’m finding the Torres/Lemay book interesting and fun to read.
 
While many of the flying saucer (UFO) stories derive from recent sources – Jerome Clark’s Ency- clopedia or Albert Rosales many accounts in his books and at his website – a lot come from their original reportage in newspapers and elsewhere.
 
The “sightings” are sometimes quaint but still full of pith, a few odd in that the persons recalling their observations or encounters as memorable but not traumatic, a flaw with most UFO accounts that involve more than lights in the sky.
 
(I’ll be doing a piece on that lack of traumatic aftermath that one would expect from some of the saucer/humanoid encounters or alleged nabbings – abductions.)
 
Anyway, the book is worth its $20 cost, and I’m looking for its 1800 UFO listing mate.

The handbag (water buckets?) of the gods (or ETs as some think)

A smug (sort of like me) guy reported on his YouTube channel (World of Antiquity) that he has corrected the view of another guy (the Ancient Geographic channel) who made the case for an ET-like explanation for those ancient engraved images of what appear to be handbags in the hands of deities:

The smug fellow provided, what appears to be a legitimate case for the “handbags” being buckets of water not bags of knowledge being carried as a gift of the gods (or ETs):

And the fellow I follow (Ancient Architects) speculates that the handbags are actually images of the Göbekli temples with animal engravings next to each depiction to help (ancient) visitors to locate the termple in which they are to worship):

There are a number of suggestions for the “handbag” engravings, all sheer speculation.

If the “handbags” are actually water buckets, what’s their purpose – to provide sustenance to the sacred tree included in some engravings as the “solved” guy tells his followers?

That ancient engravers would find that detail worthy of stone-cutting strikes me as a bit OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive) of a kind, or attention to something with more meaning.

It’s that kind of detail that, like the Socorro symbol, could provide a major clue to what the ancient engravings of “handbags” really meant at the time of their creation.
 
And do the “handbag” (water bucket) engravings have anything to do with UFOs. I don’t think so, but if they do, their meaning is only peripheral.
