Cognitive UFOs or just passive AI machines?

Most of us know that the UFO phenomenon has been with humanity for a very long time, eons maybe.
 
Some think the “things” contain extraterrestrials (scientists, vacationers, explorers, et al.)
 
Others feel that UFOs are aircraft operated by ET artificial intel- ligence (robots or data gathering technology), some believing the UFOs spotted are AI machines themselves.
 
No matter what, UFOs have reconnoitered Earth for a long time, and any observational or cognitive information gathered would indicate a world, ours, as replete with good and bad behavior or circumstances.
 
Cognitive UFOs or their contents, if as advanced as many UFO enthusiasts think, will have detected a morality or ethical stance by human beings, even primitive humans, going back a million years or more.
 
Observationally, UFOs are inert, never interceding in human affairs, despite the projection of human values on UFO maneuvers, since no beings have been proven to be piloting the things.
 
But if there are machines or entities inside UFOs, they’d have had to see atrocities by man against man (and animals, flora, and the planet itself).
 
UFO dolts apply the Star Trek fiction of a Prime Directive, a uni- versal policy that precludes humans and some members of the fictive federations from interacting with other species; that is, there’s a hands-off mandate, meant to prevent interference by outsiders that might interact or jeopardize an evolutionary process.
 
That projected idea is farcical, but would explain the lack of inter- ference by UFO beings in some of the worst catastrophes and crimes in human history: the Holocaust, the slave trade, the World Wars, the subjugation of indigenous peoples by outsiders, and so on…
 
Yet, as we see, especially during holiday seasons particularly, humans often assist those in need or provide sustenance of some kind, being empathetic.
 
(The great Ayn Rand would poo-poo such Christian-like values but there it is.)
 
It appears to me that any civilized species, from elsewhere or nearby, would have to be empathetic and helpful when it comes to disasters or needs, especially among sentient entities, of any kind. That is what an advanced species would do, should do.
 
But yet, UFOs remain dormant, and always have, despite some cockamamie nonsense from a few UFO fanatics, devoid of proof or scientific example when pushed for evidence of any active UFO behavior.
 
Nope. UFOs have a dormant sentience. And if only one abduction story is true, UFOs are as bad as any barbarian horde or oppressive operative in Earth’s history, maybe worse.
