UFOs: Not a Phenomenon, but Phenomena

The idea that UFOs represent a singular phenomenon has to be scrapped, once and for all.

The “things” that have appeared overhead and on  the ground, and even in Earth’s waters are multiple in essence and kind.

There is not one UFO kind, and the fact – and it is a fact – that UFOs represent many kinds of reality presupposes that the enigmatic perceptions are of phenomena, and not tangible phenomena, most likely.

(I presume that a few of you would like to stray to a discussion of essence and kind, but let me stay within the common understanding of both.)

We UFO buffs know that UFOs have appeared in a gazillion configurations: multiple light forms, many hardware-like structures, hundreds of odd shaped aerial displays, a raft of on-ground vehicular-appearing craft (with a plethora of diverse entities in tow), and amorphous dream-like, ghost-like splotches.

In my circle, ships from outer space make little sense, the Earth too remote, obscure, and inconsequential to provoke extraterrestrial visitations, but I can concede the possibility that some witnesses UFOs may have been space craft from an advanced species (civilization) that stumbled upon this planet in a space-faring exploratory mission, nd that species, perhaps returning sporadically over millennia.

But if that was or is the case, it seems that the structures used by the species (or likely an AI contingent) would not show up in a cascade of designer craft.

That is, UFOs, if space ships, would not show up with in a variety of configurations as varied as that reported by UFO witnesses. It’s would be too creative or impractical for an advanced species to keep traversing the galaxy or universe if the laws of economics are in play.

And even without any economic temperance by a “wealthy” extra-Earth species, common sense suggests that a flotilla of UFOs from afar would not be as florid as that which has been perceived by humans; it’s too funky for an advanced, moderate species that is practical enough to pole vault around space out of curiosity rather than ostentation.

So, with an occasional UFO observation that is truly a glimpse of an ET excursion, we have to admit – and I know this is hard for some of you – that all the other observations of UFOs have to be imagined or hallucinatory because there can’t be a vast army of space visitors, using their own unique interstellar vehicles to reconnoiter Earth, which is, as I often propose, too nugatory to invite such attention.

UFOs offer a plentitude of possibilities other than as vehicles for ET transport: projections of the human id, that coruscating mischief-maker of the (Freudian) unconscious, a neurological malfunction, or an imaginative thrust of a pre or sub schizophrenic disposition.

The variety of UFO observations mitigate against a valid phenomenon. No phenomenon has ever been so profoundly diverse, none.

Thus UFOs are phenomena, mental phenomena probably, or actual phenomena offered by a force or forces that folly with human existence, human reality.

And therefore, we UFO buffs would do better to get a handle on the errant mental etiology or pursue, philosophically, the source of flying saucer wizardry: God or the Omnipotent Matrix Creator.
