SuperHumanities, Pre-Human species, Crypto-terrestrials, and ???

The recent "Archive" conference mentioned here, for a moment, offered much that is ludicrous and at the edge of serious discussion about UFOs.

The “conference” offered more UFO obtuse side-bars to contend with, something that muddies the phenomenon's enigmatic aura even more than what has curdled the mystery since the late 1940s and 50s.
 
The side-bar that presses in on my UFO inclinations comes from admired, by some reading here, Jeff Klipal whose pending book, SuperHumanities, purporting to be, I’m guessing, that UFOs are the product of a special species, once connected to this planet.
 
Mac Tonnies’ crypto-terrestrials was heading in that direction, and some YouTubians stress the idea that an advanced pre-human species existed on Earth long ago, prior to the early spate of hominids most of us are familiar with.
 
Even my strayed path into a “history” of God (and gods) has betrayed a hint of UFO inclusion, which is a speculation I almost regret, but not quite….
 
At any rate, the idea, slipping into the UFO ether, is that something is perpetuating the UFO phenomenon, and it isn’t extraterrestrials or modern military technology.
 
This “other” scenario has been fostered by John Keel, Vallee, and a few others, but it is without substance, and a conjecture that even I find iffy.
 
UFOs are substantive, in my mind, a concrete, material reality, which is what makes the ETH so popular, despite the arguments against such a probability.
 
It’s a little disheartening to see so much time, effort, and paper being spewed about the paranormal other things that the rest of us see as objects in flight from somewhere, tangible and real.
