A hypnotic session about an alleged 1978 UFO abduction

While many of you eschew hypnosis and/or abductions by ETs, I accept (as part of my psychological schooling and psychoanalysis leanings) the efficacy of the hypnotic process, acknowledging that it is fraught with cautious considerations: the influence of embedded memory artifacts that have little to nothing to do with the recall under evaluation, unconscious input from the hypnotist, and a factor of creative imagination by the person under hypnosis.

In this video, the hypnotist does not influence the hypnotic, except at one point where she insists the hypnotic to look at "the television set" which provides him a picture; she does this to calm his panic and fears.

Like the obvious fear that showed Barney Hill's inherent anxiety and panic during his hypnotic session, Bill Herrmann's panic is either derived from a memory embellished by a movie or TV show or is real.

I tend to see it as real.

Google's UFO News Alerts for 2/4 had a few about the Chinese "spy" balloon but this was the best (and complete from VICE)

A troublesome equation: immortality + a species birth-rate = X

Copyright 2023, InterAmerica, Inc.

Any long-lasting species (a billion years say) who has, perhaps, conquered life-limitation, will even- tually run into the problem of existence no matter the size of its planet ….

Unless the species out-thinks the eventual problems of living space, food, energy needs, and other necessary sustainable requirements for survival,

The Earth’s populations haven’t reached the point where the planet cannot sustain its various species, plant or animal, but it is running up against the various survival needs, exacerbated by climate crisis and the ongoing requirements of human and other life-forms.

An advanced species from off-Earth would also be beset by for sustainable living needs eventually. And what would they do to obtain those needs?

They couldn’t increase living space on their home planet, even using a moon or moons or nearby planets in their solar systems would end up being depleted eventually, depending upon the needs and size of the enlarging species population size.

So, the probability of finding other planets to populate would arise as a solution.

This satisfies those UFO/ET enthusiasts who see extraterrestrials coming here to subdue or exploit Earth to sustain its species' survival.

But an off-Earth species would need a planet with the same chemical make-up as its home planet, and the possibility of providing required food-stuff or whatever sustains the “needs” of the species – food or chemicals, breathing needs, gravitational necessities, et cetera.

And is the Earth the only planet in the Universe offering those needs, or are there other places with more suitable accouterments for the needs of the alien species, on a planet nearer to them?

Or more amenable to their basic needs?

Thus, the chance that UFOs are a vanguard of planet searchers – with an ongoing agenda to fulfill their required necessities – seems a little outside what UFOs appear to be doing.

But it’s a possibility, or are there other suggestions for the reason of so many alleged visits by those enigmatic things flying in our skies or inhabiting our seas?

Does anyone among my reticent readers have any ideas that can provoke some thought?
