My pal Bill Murphy at The Anomalist provided a link to a Jason Colavito piece ...
http://www.jasoncolavito.com/blog/diana-pasulka-says-ancient-aliens-is-a-medium-of-the-divine-for-the-non-religious
... that I took the time to access.
It's about a Diana Pasulka article and the Ancient Alien thing.
I added a typo-ridden comment and got notices when more com- ments appeared about Jason's piece.
Some comments, about many gods or one God in Judaism, were pungent and lame but many were heady and interesting, still going on as I type this.
I envy Jason, who gets his readers riled up and responsive, which makes me think what the hell am I wasting my time with this blog, where commentary is mostly pithy, without pith, and not inclined to be on topic or thoughtful. I must be a lousy blogger or I have a lousy audience. (Don't comment.)
I plan a book or PDF on my recent reading of the James Kugel book that I've been flogging here.
I could write it as Rich Reynolds with a UFO inserted theme, or I can write under my pen name and leave UFOs far from it.
At any rate, the book will contain these tomes as a bulwark for my contentions about God (or rather the gods) and the reality that is Jesus/Christ:
I don't imagine anyone, except maybe Matty, having encountered the 768 page Jesus work by the brilliant Edward Schillebeeckx or his monumental 925 page explication of the Christ.
I'm out for now, and maybe for a long time -- reading contentious and interesting comments at blogs and web-sites where readers are astute and energized by topics.
