UFO Conjectures

Do you know Larry Gagosian? Or care?

Copyright 2023, InterAmerica, Inc.

Larry G is an art dealer profiled by Patrick Radden Keefe in the July 23rd New Yorker, page 30 ff.; a guy who lives like a one-time Roman Emperor, a man who exemplifies what was once known as “conspicuous consumption."

Pictured here, you see nothing special, just a regular-looking man (somewhat as I photograph currently—hair, nose, mouth, et cetera; we could pass as doubles).
The difference is he’s loaded and, while not famous outside his circle, friends with the hoi-polloi, and worthy of attention appar- ently, and has nothing to do with UFOs.

I’m using him as an example of something that came up at Facebook involving that UFO scamp, Ray Stanford.

Jeff Knox provided this which got responses from Kal Korff, Christopher O’Brien and me, KK pointing out the sometimes foolishness of Stanford, with which Knox and I agreed, only to get a positive note from O’Brien.
I commented that Stanford won’t be around much longer – he’s as old as Greek mustard – and will be forgotten, like most UFO “personalities” who’ve already passed on to oblivion.

You see, Gagosian is living it up, with parties and “friends” or wannabes but will go to his perdition, unable to take his money, or art, or 23 year-old girl friend, a model, or anything he, Gagosian, covets at the moment. Life is short and ends bitterly.

Stanford is already a relative nobody like others who once were UFO notables, and most of us, using this blog who are already nobodies, along with those once talked about UFO biggies, now, replaced in the public mind by UAP attention-getters: Grusch, Lehto, Kirkpatrick, Burchett, Fravor, Graves, even slimy Corbell, failed newsman Knapp, Ross Coulthart, and a few others.

The AATIP crowd, except for Fravor (who keeps his name alive, for now) have already moved on to forgetfulness: Luis Elizondo, Tom DeLonge, Chris Mellon, Bigelow, et al.

I threw out names of some notable UFO people (as I see them) to my Ann Arbor gang, and they only knew a few: Vallee, Pope (from the History Channel), not von Däniken or even the guy with the hair (Tsoukalos) or anyone else of the Ancient Alien group, and no Nick Redfern, or John Greenewald (but his Black Vault site), or any other old UFO hotshots – names galore that you and I know and cherish.

They all read books, but aside from Vallee’s, they could not recall those books' authors.

You see what I’m getting at, again: being a “biggie” at some instance in time means nothing, whether it’s in art, music, economics, politics, science, medicine, or anything else.

You live, gather some money or fame, or live high and mighty, like Gagosian or Grusch, but it means nothing, eventually for certain.

You’re here on a temporary passport, and in the case of UFOs, even UAP, more temporary than what other persons get in the way of attention or notoriety.

So, make a mark, as evanescent as that may be, but do some- thing. It, at least, shows that you are alive, for the moment.

That’s noteworthy, isn’t it?
