UFOs and Reality: Everything else is salad dressing

Why the World Does Not Exist is the point I’m about to address here (again).

All the scuttlebutt about the so-called relevance of the [UFO] witness and/or the cultural impact of UFOs on civilization and society ballyhooed in some ufological quarters gets on my nerves because both ruminations, as interesting as they may be, are peripheral to the UFO phenomenon, which Zoam Chomsky and few others say is bogus and others on the periphery of ufology keep taking a swing at, for what reason I can’t fathom, except to note their fascination is intellectual madness.

A UFO explanation – a full denouement! – will expose what reality we humans are subject to, and such dialogues as those about consciousness or philosophical theories don’t matter.

Reality is the name of the game. What is our real reality? Not what we experience everyday, and this book, which I have yet to order, tells us why:

Plato used an allegory to purpose other philosophical matters, even though he had an inkling that the reality he was experiencing wasn’t the real reality.

And from religions, we get experiences that indicate sojourns to another reality, maybe even the real reality.

Enoch, of all the Biblical prophets, was the only Biblical patriarch to present substantive information about another reality, maybe the real reality.

(Enoch’s interesting canon has been and is used by Ancient Alien/Astronaut theorists as supportive texts for their suggestion that extraterrestrials were Enoch’s travel agents.)

Ezekiel, Elijah, Elisha, and Jacob didn’t understand their moments in another reality or chose not to exegete it for their fellow Hebrews.

Jesus had secret teachings, of which we know little to nothing, and in His public pronouncements was mysteriously silent or obscure as when he said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions.” [John 14:2]

Mohammed used his vaulting to another reality as propaganda to further the cause of Islam, not to enlighten, specifically, his people.

Thomas Aquinas, as I’ve offered many times here, chose to withdraw from active living after his experience (a bout of Cosmic Consciousness).

Hildegard de Bingen accessed something other than her immediate reality but placed in her existential (in the new, common sense) milieu and rounded its meaning.

Meister Eckhart too was altered by a glimpse of the or another reality and tried to force it into a reality for his time but was classed heretical by the Church as was Teilherd de Chardin long after him.

Hieronymus Bosch, like many other artists, had visions of another reality but shrugged them off to artistic creativity, and altered their experiences or visions of that other reality to conform to their normal reality.

Samuel Coleridge was an exception. He provided poetic references to his witnessed experienced but clouded that experience by intervening it with drugs.

Later writers and poets often beclouded their entrées to the “other world(s)” by the infusion of extra ingredients that interfered with what they were privileged to see.

The same might be said for the MesoAmerican and South American Emperors, such as Moctezuma, Quetzalcoatl, Atahualpa who had their “normal realities” intercepted by something other and the cursed reality from this side, the Spaniards.

AmerIndians and Inuits often had excursions to the other reality, as did, surely, the Maori and Aboriginals.

Even the Neanderthals are thought to have had insight(s) to some reality other than the one that eventually made them “extinct.”

My point is that some other realities or reality have been experienced – not the neurological madness that users of hallucinogenics or natural opiates experience, but something that bespeaks a reality outside or alongside the one we think we’re part of.

I know a few of you don’t wish to slide away from what you see as our normal reality but there it is: a modicum of “information” that more exists than this world which our senses perceive.

What that “more” is – that seeming other reality – might be made tangible if we can ever “fondle” a UFO, unless you think that UFOs are a trick to keep us from exploring the reality that over-rides this reality.

If that’s the case, we’re sunk….
