A link to New York mag's UFO overview

This is a compilation of New York magazine's goosey UFO writing(s) in the March 19-April 1 issue:

While there are a few interesting tid-bits and some views by Sociologist/author Joseph Baker that accord with my observations here (at this blog) -- "Men, and people with lower levels of income, are more likely to believe [in ETs]." and "We [humans] have a high level of perceived self-importance ... that [ETs visit] this tiny corner of the spiral arm of the Milky Way to ... learn something from us, or eliminate us, is a bit flattering." and NYM writes "that sightings are way down in the smartphone era" to which Mr. Baker replies "...from most of what I've seen, it looks more like a stasis. Rates of reported sightings and rate of belief have been pretty stable." -- some of the magazine's "reportage" or recaps are errant.

As I note in my revised promotion of the magazine's UFO piece, Kenneth Arnold didn't say that the things he saw "... were shaped like saucers" and the beings Betty Hill described were not similar to the "five foot Selenites" that inhabited the Moon in H.G. Wells The First Men in the Moon."

Also, writer Clint Rainey doesn't have an inkling of the real Villas Boas seduction, as provided by CIA/AID operative Bosco Nedelcovic (and recounted amply by Nick Redfern in his book Contactees).

Nonetheless, the recent UFO/Pentagon videos are covered (discussed) and the background of how the Pentagon study came about merits a read.
