Colossus: The Forbin Project Review

The Musk AI group is inclined to be fascinated by AI, but is tem- pered by Elon Musk's warnings about the ultimate danger(s) of AI control, as the movie, reviewed here, indicates.....

A Facebook exchange, from that Ramey posting (shown earlier here) -- the rationale for musing over old UFO clutter....

Rich Reynolds:

Thank you James...I usually deplore the reshuffling of old UFO stuff but this is interesting. Tony Bragalia has just been sent a Roswell photo also, that is new and very interesting. He'll display it soon I think. I'll see if I can post it here, for the edification of you Roswell junkies.

Rich Reynolds This exercise seems to exemplify something which troubles. We 'pour over witness  statements' and other evidence for good reason. It often just takes time for something to 'sink in' and then you wonder how it was never spotted in the first place.

Rich Reynolds:

The problem James is that a few iconic UFO events keep getting the immersive scrutiny -- Roswell,  Rendlesham, Kecksburg, you know the list -- and those episodes have been mined to the point of  imbecility. There are many, many little known or unknown sightings and encounters where a real forensic look might find something of value. But UFO "researchers" like to think they are doing good when all they are doing is seeking attention to them- selves, using the famous sightings for cover. It's a joke -- the whole panoply of gathering "data" when the phenomenon is outside the purview of geezers hoping for a legacy before they pass on.
