UFO Conjectures

Roswell????

I know, I know: we all are sick and tired of the Roswell "incident" but Mysteries Decoded on The CW, September 3rd, interviewed Jesse Marcel Sr's grandaughter and other Roswellians who provided some thoughts about the shopworn (and alledged) Roswell crash story.

While I am loath to accept the alien disk-crash (with bodies) explanation, I do think, as Nick Redfern and others think, that something (or somethings) interesting happened in Roswell in the summer of 1947.

Why that something remained buried until 1978, when Stanton Friedman and others dug into it, inputting an extraterrestrial patina on the episode(s) remains an open question.

The incident has been mined for any clue as to what actually occurred in Roswell, to the point that most of us have had enough of the belabored affair, which has been dogged by misinformation,  lies, and fabrications.

Nonetheless, taking the ET element out of the equation, provides other things that pertain, such as how such a tale has become a full-blown myth or why Roswell people still insist the story has legs, that being a matter for psychologists and sociologists.

Anyway, the CW presentation was moderate and eye-opening, surprisingly.

I like this UFO tale also

I know many of you eschew old flying saucer stories (reports) but pre-1947 accounts intrigue me.
