My multiverse/UFO “hypothesis” takes a hit

My son Josh, the neuroscientist, along with a few of his friends, are staying at the lake home for a few days, and we had dinner together over the weekend.

During the conversation(s), my idea that UFOs may spring from a source in another universe (one of the multiverses some scientists are starting to accept as a probability) came up.

I wrote, the other day, that UFOs would more sensibly come from a multiverse abutting our universe than from a civilization at the far reaches of our cosmos (our universe).

I was reminded (corrected) by Brad, a physics instructor, that what I was doing was doubling, at least, the distances that would prevail if two universes were involved in my desired “explanation.”

That is, UFOs from a species in an multiverse bumping into or adjacent to ours would be coming from, not only the distance of its place in the multiverse but also traversing the distance from the point of “entry” to the place where Earth is, in our universe, an insurmountable array of light-year travel, precluding not only many visits from the supposed advanced race of beings but likely any visit at all, if logic prevails among alien species.

UFOs from another dimension didn’t get the laughs my multiverse scenario got but it wasn’t a hot topic, which I attributed to the insertion of UFOs into the mix.

So here we are: the multiverse reality may be a possibility, as is the idea of other dimensions.

But UFOs coming from either is not a view acceptable to rational people, even theoretical physicists.
