An example of a ChatGPT interchange from UFO codger and pal Andy Roberts

Andy put this on Facebook 4/3, as an example of how an AI chatbot presented information about him.

I think we have little to fear from AI, at the moment anyway. I asked an AI bot, “What can you tell me about Andy Roberts, the author who has written books including Albion Dreaming?”
Ok, so I gave it enough clues and this is what it came up with:
“Andy Roberts is an author, researcher, and lecturer who has written extensively on a variety of subjects, including the paranormal, folklore, and counterculture. He is perhaps best known for his book "Albion Dreaming: A Popular History of LSD in Britain," which explores the history of LSD and its impact on British culture.
Roberts has a background in sociology and has worked as a lecturer and researcher at several universities in the UK. His work combines academic research with a passion for exploring the fringes of society and culture.
In addition to "Albion Dreaming," Roberts has written several other books, including "UFOs and the Alien Agenda," "The Dark Side of the Moon: The Making of the Pink Floyd Masterpiece," and "Haunted Wales: A Guide to Welsh Ghostlore."
Roberts is also a frequent contributor to magazines and journals, and has appeared on numerous TV and radio programs to discuss his research. He is known for his skeptical and critical approach to paranormal and supernatural phenomena, and his work is highly respected in the field of paranormal research.”
Well, other than Albion Dreaming none of the books it cites were written by me, despite there being about 20 that I’ve written, co-written or had my name on the cover etc. No, I don’t have a ‘background in sociology’, (my further education stops with a City & Guilds in Horticulture!) and nor have I worked as a lecturer or researcher at any university ! As I have been smeared all over the interwebs since 1994 it’s a poor do if an AI bit can’t come up with something better than the tripe it did!
Some bits were correct and I can see where they’ve been lifted from, but really, meh!
