The 1948 (Frank Scully) UFO story: Aztec, New Mexico Flying Saucer crash!

This Facebook posting takes a swipe at Silas Newton and the alleged (by Frank Scully) 1948 Aztec UFO crash – a swindle that was caught and prosecuted:

The Wikipedia account:

During the 2015 Kodak slide fiasco – where hysteria and madness reigned – I took pains to look, extensively, into the Silas Newton, Dr. Gee, and Frank Scully rendering.

I discovered – which got lost in the slide hubbub – that the men involved in the supposed 1948 recovery of a crashed flying saucer were employed by the military that used them for oil contracts and related industry.

Both Gebauer and Newton were “insiders” who may have gotten, I surmised, information that was Roswell related or an actual account of a crashed disk in Aztec, New Mexico.
When Frank Scully presented his account in Behind the Flying Saucers, the Army took steps to cover-up and destroy the credi- bility of Newton, Gebauer, and Scully, among others, in order to maintain the knowledge of an actual, real crash, as Leonard Stringfield suggested in the late 1970s. (See Wikipedia account)

The possibility that the U.S. government sidetracked any pursuit of the Aztec tale by its usual deviant and Machiavellian machinations is palpable, as I see it.

And while I currently eschew the idea that species from elsewhere in the galaxy or universe are visiting and have visited Earth, many supposedly crashing all over the place, I do accept the possibility that time-travelers from our future or ETs from another dimen- sion/reality may have or are inserting themselves into our current existence.
I also do not throw away the Scully “reportage” or the possibility that Newton and Gebauer were scapegoats, just as have been others since, who tried to provide information that UFOs are real and the government knows much more than we can imagine.
