Why is the “dimensional” idea for UFOs so hot right now?

The primary reason that many persons (scientists among them) find the possibility of inter- dimensional intrusions by UFOs acceptable is that the movement toward a multi-dimensional reality is receiving serious conversation and debate among the scientific (and philosophical) community currently.
 
Also, the physical deterrents for interstellar travel, even for an advanced civilization, makes it difficult to find that a probability for the seemingly vast appearances of UFOs in Earthly skies.\

(Interstellar travel by an advanced species remains a possibility, but a remote one.)
 
Yes, the possibility of cosmic visitors coming to Earth remains viable but it’s a stretch and physicists and lay people are starting to see such visitations as remote or limited by constraints of many kinds.
 
While the suggestion of another dimension or universe offering UFO visitors seems iffy as well, it does provide answers to how UFOs keep popping up all over the place and in ways that make physical sense.
 
Thus, I think it behooves me (and others) to flesh out the interdimensional conjecture just in case it is the solution to the ongoing UFO enigma.
