Effect cases also seem to offer some promise. I was impressed that that one of Bigelow's papers was UFO effects on humans.
My
opinions on current Ufology, after consulting with others, but these are
completely my opinions.
1.
Prior to PBB closure CIRVIS reporting was changed from intelligence to
operations...makes sense, operation is more concerned with real time responses.
Much of govt UFO reaction is in the Operational sphere, not the Intelligence.
2.
The govt does not care about the cases we are interested in, they have more and
BETTER data because they can acquire better data. Acquisition of anecdotal data
is not desired or necessary.
3.
Unpaid self-styled non-govt disinformation agents keep the UFO in the realm of
silliness. The govt does not need to do anything here. This operation is
self-initiated and self-perpetuating. No government actions required. This
activity insures that it is very hard to conduct serious discussions and keeps
the subject marginalized. I would also say that the govt has probably at one
time or another intervened such as some of the activities of Major Wayne Aho,
former Army intelligence. Obviously, it would be easy to confused Major Keyhoe
and Marjor Aho. Also, the hoax wire service material provided to Keyhoe in
1957.
4.
Barking up the wrong tree. This is just restating the above. Ufology as a whole
does not understand that the govt does not care about us, what we are
interested in, or what we are doing. Ufology is stuck in a Project Blue Book
model of govt action while the govt is far beyond this.
5.
$22 million for what? Wasted on old model ufology and questionable theoretical
physics without actual experimental physics to validate the theories.
6. Even old style Ufology is NOT completely useless. Mega data
might tell us something. Ufology is its own worse enemy. People want to acquire
data to keep it secret. There currently are counteractions in this area, i. e.,
data sharing. efforts.
Effect cases also seem to offer some promise. I was impressed that that one of Bigelow's papers was UFO effects on humans.
