This "old" video (1975) includes the great Orson Welles (who narrates and touches on his 1938 War of the Worlds radio play), Carl Sagan and other scientists including Philip Morrison who, at the 23 minute mark, presents a view of alien species [ETs] that is precisely my speculation of what you might expect about ET physiognomy and mental characteristics.

While the conversation is quaint (even old-fashioned), Welles is terrific as usual and Sagan a total gem as usual.
