The continuing UFO/ET [ETH] Folly

While extraterrestrials visiting Earth via UFOs remains a somewhat reasonable viability – "somewhat" being the operative word – it seems that the idea is not “sponge-worthy” among those who really think about it.

(I’m going to address, upcoming, the creation of cosmic life but for now, let me stick with the foolishness of the ETH.)

Does it seem likely that an intelligent species from somewhere in the galaxy or far-flung cosmic arena would end up creating space- craft that mimics what we Earthlings have created, via aerody- namic evolution?

That is, would an ET species come up with craft that looks and flies like something we’d engineer? Is our creativity that good or inventive?

Also, would an ET species have the same desire for exploration that Earthlings have had since the beginning of human life?

Is the ET mind constructed (evolved) in the same way as the human mind? The neurological odds seem unlikely…..

Unless one posits a unifying “creator” of life (a matter I’ll deal with, again, soon).

ETs swooping down on Earth was novel once, and still remains the most sensible suggestion for UFO visitations to many, even I like it, but it’s irrational.

I won’t go back into the backwater planet meme I keep offering here. It makes readers livid; they like to think Earth is a beacon for creatures from elsewhere who apparently live in a planetary hovel or find the rest of the cosmos uninviting and boring.

Now that the ETH has taken hold of even the once most reasonable of people – journalists, some academics, and a few scientists – can anyone “unmadness” the idea of ET visitations via UFOs?

I’m not hopeful.
