Matty would like to discuss the 1994 Ariel school "sighting"

It was off-topic for the posting it came to and I thought I'd provide it here, as Matty seems inclined to discuss the episode. The inci- dent has been reviewed a few times at this blog over the years.

 I've looked at Matty's provided (new) YouTube link.

It covers the salient points and notes the contradictions in the childrens' various accounts, which I note took place after a week- end of "stewing" about the supposed sighting.

I don't think, as I wrote in my July 18, 2016 posting, the kids con- fabulated or made up their accounts; most actually experienced something odd.

But after a few days of thinking about that experience, alterations in memory and a build up of imagination caused havoc with their witness testimony.

(Also. read, in the link above, Gille's criticism of the MUFON mem- ber who interviewed the kids.)

And a recounting of those testimonies, after many years, by the kids grown up, are also debased by memory and other psycho- logical factors.

That members of the school staff and some parents pooh-poohed their kids' accounts did not help in the after-weekend testimony. (Parents discounting a child's attempt to tell them something has an immense inherent harm that lasts for years, and would also affect the testimony of the children when they were to recount the episode several days later.

The "sighting" is fantastic, generally, and intriguing. (I think Matty likes the account because it has many witnesses.)

But it takes us nowhere toward an understanding of UFOs or alleged encounters of UFO entities.

Also, its a minor tragedy that we'll never get to see Dr. Mack's report, as he was killed by a drunk driver when in London a few months before getting his take down on paper.

However, Matty's YouTube video says that a documentary, based on Dr. Mack's notes and the reports by journalists and others who've covered the 1994 event, is imminent, if it gets backing.
