UFOs: An intrusion into our “reality”

While we (and much of mankind) struggles or has struggled trying to determine exactly what reality we’re immersed in, odd or stark happenings keep inserting themselves into the evolutionary mix.

And although UFOs are, admittedly, a minor intrusion, in the great scheme of things, they keep badgering some of us, as they have also annoyed a few humans over the millennia.

Wars and evil human acts take precedence over UFOs as reality-annoyers, but UFOs are in the mix, maybe way down the list of reality-confusers but there nonetheless.

Paranormalists I know get hopped up on ghosts, Big Foot, Nessie, hessdalen lights, and all sorts of other weird manifestations that sneak into our reality, but UFOs do so with an insidious, subliminal ferocity. They indicate a glitch, maybe a major glitch in human reality.

UFOs tells us, I think, that our known reality consists of something more, something that indicates extra attention should be paid to outside-the-normal exigencies of our everyday lives.

I’m dwelling in the world of philosophers and theoretical physicists more than ever, yet UFOs are telling me that the concerns of either discipline fall short of what may be.

And the questions raised in my mind are icky. They lie outside common sense. (And I’m not talking about that damnable ETH.)

UFOs, for me, raise the ideas that I prolong here: Do UFOs come from dimensions or universes abutting ours? Do they come from time, past or future? Are they products of a malicious God or master computer agent? Are they figments of disordered minds? Or are they total misinterpretations of common things?

What the hell are they? Why do they keep popping up?

They shouldn’t disrupt one’s life, but they often do. Look at Gene Steinberg. Look at what happened to John Keel. Look at what happened when Roman Emperor Constantine saw one.

Now, normal human beings go about their lives oblivious to UFOs. God bless them.

But we few who are challenged by the “phenomenon” have to cope with their intrusion on our consciousness. We have to.

The damn things won’t let us alone.
