Dredging for UFO sightings and meaning: Useless

UFO sites and venues are replete with past UFO accounts and the blather about the phenomenon is pathetic.
 
Conferences about UFOs or things (slightly?) related abound with UFO long-timers and newbies striving to be recognized.
 
And UFO geezers – the phenomenon’s really old-timers – are, sadly, so out of the loop and their conversations (mine included) that I see a wholesale change in the UFO topic on a very near horizon.
 
Newer people, with a yen for something substantial, sensibly ignore the mutterings of old guys and gals who’ve been flogging the topic for years.
 
No one wants to hear what a UFO geezer had for lunch or where they traveled for a short, recreational visit, both taking up time in UFO circles. And geezer UFO talk or writings are shoved aside by those who've taken up the phenomenon as a hobby of sorts.
 
And if I see one more phone/camera shot of a blurry light in the sky, I’ll bust my computer into a thousand useless pieces.
 
UFOs – and worse, UAP – are starting to wear thin in the public arena and are so stale in the UFO bailiwicks that the topic has come to a static, useless state of meaningless.
 
Scrounging for water in the desert oasis of ufology – a term that’s lost all meaning and use in polite circles – is a bust.
 
Aliens (extraterrestrials) in space – somewhere in the stellar regions – are grist for discussion, without the UFO baggage.
 
No one, with gravitas, gives a fig whether UFOs contain ET visitors, but many persons of intelligent mien do find the search for life elsewhere meaningful, even microbial life, which has little to do with what human beings are really looking for: salvation from outside Earth’s reality.
 
The resurgence in mundane, time-wasting activity, lauded by the UFO clan, evidences the loss of UFOs as a meaningful matter of wonder for those once entranced by them.
 
It’s really time to move on to things more profound and pertinent…..like what the Kardashians are wearing or what new, non-UFO book Nick Redfern has written, yes?
